Dr Kildare :assigned to trouble .

This is the third movie Jean Girault made with Louis Velle ,after "le permis de conduire" and "les murs ont des oreilles ".Velle is good actor , esssentially a stage thespian, but he is not really a comic actor for this part of a scatterbrained doctor, with a fiancée who , born silver spoon in hand ,is a tartar :Louis De Funès, with whom the director had often worked,or Pierre Richard ,would have been better choices.

The female star is none other than Claudine Auger ,(James Bond girl Domino in "thunderball " (1965)), a gorgeous long-haired brunette ; she's a journalist and our doctor becomes her photographer for a while, to interview a gay Greek tycoon (Michel Galabru) who lives with a gay servant and who chats the doctor up .Needless to say, the homosexuals are caricatured in an old-fashioned stupid way.

A "chase" movie, the end of which is predictable after the first doctor/journalist meeting .If you don't ask too much,on a rainy day.....
