OK, imagine four men in their 40s and 50s. You there? OK, now imagine them wearing suits and playing on a sandbox as characters aged 4, 5 and 6. Pasanen even has his trademark beard, for Christ's sake! As stupid as Sandler movies are, they're nothing compared to this. With that said, let me add that this movie is hilarious. So much fun. Pikkupojat (Little Boys) is filled with outstanding comedic performances especially from the three leading men playing Make, Kake and Väke. They also play elders in the movie. The best thing in Pikkupojat is the dialogue between the three "kids" as they're arguing about various things.. (in finnish:) "well I've got at least a hundred teeth and they're all loose!! -No you don't! A human doesn't even have a hundred teeth, but eighty!". Switch your brain off and enjoy this good old finnish celebration of dumbness!

Many laughs with Spede, Simo and Vesku

Mother is going crazy with her three little boys, aged 4, 5 and 6, at the summer cottage.The neighbors, Jäpälä and Yskänen, are going crazy with each other.There's a little bit about the plot of the movie Pikkupojat (1986).But the plot isn't the thing that matters the most in a movie like this.All you have to care about are all those great gags it has to offer.The movie is directed by Ere Kokkonen and Spede Pasanen is its writer and producer.It's based on the sketches seen on Spede show.Those three little boys aren't played by little boys at all, but three grown up men.Three funny grown up men, I might add.Vesa-Matti Loiri plays the 6-year old Make.Spede himself is the 5-year old Kake.Simo Salminen plays Väke, aged 4.All those men play dual roles.Vesku is also Upseeri Jäpälä.Spede is the boys' father Hugo Rögstrand and Simo is Keksijä Yskänen.Hannele Lauri plays the boys' mother, Valma Rögstrand-Ylä-Liimanen.Riitta Väisänen plays Yskänen's wife and also the daughter Unelma.Marita Nordberg is Jäpälä's wife.Satu Silvo plays Rögstrand's secretary.Marja Korhonen plays the part of Lihakauppias.Juhani Kumpulainen and Seppo Laine are construction workers.Ere Kokkonen is Huoltoaseman Hoitaja.Heikki Kinnunen works as the narrator of the movie.This movie really makes you laugh.Just listen to the things those "little boys" talk about.And it's most hilarious when Make drinks himself drunk and starts singing "Isontalon Antti ja Rannanjärvi".Then there's some women's logic heard there.And Simo Salminen on the potty is something you don't see in every movie.These boys really knew how to do it.
