Predictable cop comedy
Leofwine_draca7 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
A good cast appear in this otherwise unremarkable Hong Kong cop comedy, similar to at least a dozen others I could mention. The great Stanley Fung headlines the cast in his usual gruff, stern, straight kind of role and he's given fine support by the likes of Chin Siu-Ho, Natalis Chan and Ricky Hui. The gags peak early on with a hilarious bit involving sculpture but then nosedive into predictability, but if you're a fan of the era there's plenty to see and enjoy.

Obscure HK crime comedy with a few laughs.
OllieSuave-00715 March 2017
This is a rather obscure crime comedy from Hong Kong, starring Stanley Fung as Detective Ng, who teams up with newcomer cop Ceci (Cecilia Yip) to catch infamous criminal Richard Tai (Pak-Cheung Chan). In doing so, they try to lure him to commit a crime with a large crystal jewel.

Lots of talking and lesser action in this film, but there are smacks of funny moments and slapstick comedy that will serve up some laughs from viewers, courtesy of Stanley Fung and Pak-Cheung Chan. The plot was steady and the story wasn't bad - it's just too bad there wasn't enough comedy in this one, considering all the quality actors that appear in the film.

Stumbling Cops 1988 srt is missing

I have this movie but I can't understand the language spoken or captioned.

I can not find any language subtitles for this movie whether I searched for it in English or in Chinese.

I did watch it and skipped scenes while trying to put the story together within my imaginary thoughts.

I have seen loads of Natalis Chan and Stanley Fung collaborations from their past and beyond movies such as three stooges go undercover and adding another actor who rose to fame with shaw brothers studio who I personally rated after watching rolls rolls I love you and fast fingers.

So if I find same actors collaborating over and over then it can only mean that the movie is going to be a hit.
