There are few outsiders that have been to the great Manu National Park, Peru, but there are still many spirits that inhabit it. There are more species of animals here than anywhere else on earth even though the park is the size of Massachusetts. Five tribes live throughout the rainforest, including the Machiguenga. They believe that their ancestors reside in the Amazon forest around them. With all these spirits living together, Manu is certainly anything but desolate. The imagery was amazing and the information was abundant. It makes you realize how much we need to protect the vanishing rainforests. I give this an 8/10. The only thing to be careful of is that the women of the Machiguenga tribe do not cover their breasts, so one may want to use discretion when viewing this with kids.
