Gorgeously nightmarish

Warning: Spoilers
An eerie Mexican stop-motion short about creations rebelling against their creator and nightmares coming true; El octavo día, la creación ("The eight day, creation", and not "The eight day of creation" as Imdb wrongly lists) is the first short of Rita Basulto and Juan Jose Medina, the later responsible of the beautifully haunting short Jaulas.

A dark, nightmarish horror animation that could be set to a Tool or Nine Inch Nails song, featuring some beautifully sinister imagery and very creative visuals.

19 years after its release, it still remains as a rather impressive work, and one of the best animations ever made in Latin America.
