A truly Funny and Heartwarming film
damask-00113 April 2005
This is such a funny movie! I saw it years ago with a household of friends and we all loved it! It was hilarious as it tracked the experiences of a selected set of dogs who lived in the Sydney suburbs at the time the movie was made. I think it was a real documentary. There was one hound in particular who was always in trouble with "the law" That is; the dog catchers!... those miserable unhappy souls who pursue happy-go-lucky, if sometimes wayward, doggies for a living. The dogs who were "interviewed" came across as real characters and one could not help but fall in love with all of them! It reminds me, in hindsight, of that other more recent crazy (fiction) movie about cats and dogs called "Cats and Dogs". This is a great movie by Mark Lewis!

Witty, Fun and Heartwarming Viewing
connieaustralia8 December 2002
Lewis created a heart-warming, eye-opening film that combines an indepth coverage of the private life of dogs with a fantastic Australian sense of humour. His subtle and not-so-subtle insights give this documentary a fantastic blend of amazement and allure. A must-see for any animal lover, pet lover, veterinarian or dog owner...or any non-pet owner seeking to understand the magic that drives the emotionally-intimate relationships some people have with their dogs. You will love viewing this entertaining masterpiece.
