Walter Forde is an insurance salesman. He is told that a promotion to office manager will go to whoever can sell George Foley a policy on his newly acquired vase in this funny comedy.
It's fairly standard stuff as Walter and his rival go through their routines in a manner that suggests Harold Lloyd's go-getter, as they ring most of the changes in a constantly changing environment. Walter had begun making films in 1922. Within a couple of years after this one, he would go behind the camera and direct some excellent British cut-glass farces for the next twenty years, including some fine efforts by Will Hay, Arthur Askey and even Vera Lynn.
Not many of Forde's silent films survive, but this one was preserved as a Pathe 9.5 mm show-at-home movie. It has been included on ACCIDENTALLY PRESERVED 4, along with seven other cut-downs that are worth your time.
