The only horror movie very close to my heart
jmathur_swayamprabha8 April 2011
I don't like watching horror movies at all. Despite being a movie buff, this is one kind of movies which I always prefer to avoid. Still there is a horror movie which I like to watch again and again and which, quite unusually for me, I find very close to my heart. It's Raaz (2002).

Raaz (secret / mystery) is the story of Sanjana (Bipasha Basu) and Aditya (Dino Morea) who are facing problems in their marital life and move to Ooty for a break from the routine and set the conjugal troubles right. There Sanjana starts experiencing strange and frightening things and finally comes to know of the existence of a spirit (of a female) haunting their house there. One day the mystery behind the reason of the haunting of spirit gets revealed before her and the dark truth hidden in the life of her husband becomes naked before her eyes. However the final challenge appears when she finds the life of her husband under threat. How she is able to save him and her married life as well is the climax.

The theme of this movie is said to have been picked from the Hollywood movie - What Lies Beneath (2000). However I find it closer to an old Hindi movie - Mangalsutra (1981). In fact, we can trace the origin of this story back to the tale of Savitri embedded in the Hindu mythology who was able to get her deceased husband, Satyavaan from Yama, the god of death. The ultimate thing which matters is the treatment of the plot on the screen which is wonderful and the melodious songs are the icing on the cake. The story has been presented less like a horror movie and more like an edge-of-the-seat musical thriller which does not allow the viewer to leave it even for a second.

The movie has ample romantic moments. And I praise the director, Vikram Bhatt for the fact that the scenes of physical intimacy have been presented so artistically that not even a particle of vulgarity is felt while watching them. The melodious and touching romantic songs add to the flavour of the romance visible on the screen.

The movie runs on the theme of the traditional Indian wife's forgiving her husband for his past sings and standing by him in the adverse times (despite the resentment in her heart). The Indian ladies have always been taught to treat their husband as God. That's why I have compared this movie to the Satyavaan-Savitri Katha instead of the Hollywood movie.

Technically the movie is just superb. The special effects (especially in the climax) are highly admirable and the background score is perfect to render shivers to the audience.

Nadeem-Shravan alongwith Sameer, the lyricist have done an outstanding job by preparing unforgettable songs even in the 21st century. Not all the songs have been kept in the movie but listening to the album is a mesmerizing experience for any melody-lover. One song - Kitna Pyara Hai Ye Chehera is sung (and played on the harmonium) by me at times. It's based on Raag Bhairavi. However the best song of the album is - Aapke Pyar Mein Hum Sanwarne Lage. Most of the songs are in the voices of Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan and they have done full justice to the job of the lyricist and the composers by singing superbly.

This is the movie which lifted Bipasha Basu to stardom. Her performance deserves all the accolades showered on her. Dino Morea and Malini Sharma (she strangely disappeared from Bollywood after this movie) have also done well. Ashutosh Rana as the professor studying the supernatural has, once again, delivered a great performance. The supporting cast has done justice to the roles assigned.

Despite being a horror-movie-hater, I watched Raaz twice in the theatre and I don't mind watching it again on VCD / DVD. It's definitely the best horro-cum-suspense thriller made in India during the past two-three decades. If you like thrillers, I strongly recommend it to you.

Horror with a message...
hansbearnl3 August 2002
Asian filmmakers keep surprising us these past years. India does it this time with horror as part of a musical film. In the spirit of Bollywood. But I must say, I have never been a horrorfan. And so I actually was not sure if I should watch this movie. No regrets. The story is good, although the full explanation of what happened in the past is a bit long. But it is Bollywood, and they don't send you home after 74 or 90 minutes watching in full speed. They give you value for your money. Even the make up is well done, compare to other movies in it's genre, and the music is at the right time, the right place and in the right mood. Bollywood has done well with this movie, but I still prefer the romantic stuff...

Different...Excellent!
sweetrupturedlight28 February 2002
The summary says it all. This movie may not be different in the sense that its original - not at all, in fact there is a lot about it that is ripped from other movies - Bollywood and Hollywood. But, what a relief from the other romantic movies making its rounds. This was one of the most enjoyable movies i have seen this year, and im sure everyone else will fell the same way.

Bipasha Basu...wow, what can i say. She is so talented and not to mention beautiful. if her solid performance in raaz does not boost her career, noting will. Dino Morea was excellent as well. What a couple. the chemistry is amazing, so they must be doing something right.

on a whole, a wonderful movie, that for once, has you guessing till the end. A must see!

Not truly bad, but not totally great either
moviefreakazoid11 November 2004
If you really want to watch this movie at its optimum, you have to follow certain guidelines. Watch late at night. Sit alone or maybe with someone ;) Make sure the house is real quite.

To enjoy a movie as the director intended, an ambiance must be created, such as that created on a late night showing at the cinema. With that in mind, here's my view.

This movie was shown recently on a British T.V. channel late at night. I had heard good buzz about it when it was released, I love the soundtrack and so I went in open-minded.

However with that in mind, I didn't enjoy the movie too much.

As you will know, this is a horror flick with that psychological element thrown in along with some of the Hindi trimmings, thrown in for extra measure. The plot of What Lies Beneath is regurgitated and slightly repackaged for the audience.

I enjoyed the opening sequences, although clichéd to an extent, they were interesting. I think the introduction of Bipashu Basu (B.B) and Dino Morea (D.M) added weaknesses to the story. B.B isn't one of the strongest actresses. D.M didn't really have much to do. The introduction set the scene well, however the movement from the introduction to the main characters was shoddy, it wasn't fulfilling.

As the story progresses, the scare factor does increase, however you feel as if you can predict the next scene. Don't get me wrong, this was an enjoyable movie, not something that makes you look at the clock every 5 minutes. The director does help produce some tension in some of the scenes-you know those kinds of scenes even when you know something bad is going to happen, and you're chewing on your nails! The music scenes do fit in well; the songs are really good, although I would say the opening number is pretty weak.

Although the movie may be a treat for those viewers who have not seen What Lies Beneath, this movie offers nothing more than an above the average retelling. The producers could have made something more of this film, there is great potential in the storyline. The cgi doesn't help at all, when used. It only helps create that element of the horror being false.

A few adjustments to the story would have helped make a truly great movie. However the final product is a Hollywood rip-off, packaged for a different audience. Although members of the target audience may enjoy the movie, this does no favours for boosting the opinion held by many people of the lack of originality of Hindi films.

My opinion- Not a total waste of time, the movie has its plus points which will keep you engrossed. However if you are looking for something original on the cinematic plateau, you won't find it here. My rating 6/10

For both Bollywood and Horror fans
gila_film19 January 2003
Warning: Spoilers
Taking inspired by `What Lies Beneath', `Raaz' become one of the rare scary movies that ever made in Bollywood and the outcomes is a fine and surprisingly good.

The plot is about Sanjana (Bipasha Pasu) and Aditya (Dino Morea), a couple on the verse of divorce. For the memories sake, they attempt to save their marriage by visiting the place where they first fall in love. At the beginning, everything seems run well, until Sanjana always experience strange and weird events that lead Sanjana to believe that their house is haunted. The plot is getting darker and Sanjana must find the secret behind it or her very existence will decease.

Being predictable because of the plot, `Raaz' is still a well packed flick, because Vikram Bhatt doesn't waste time with the usual cliché. He just goes straight to the point, even in the very beginning. In general, the film oozes in a glossy style and fit the American standard of horror movies. Won't disappoint you.

Great Horror Movie but carries a Chauvinist Message
persian-belle27 March 2013
Raaz is still one of my favourite horror films. It was the first Bollywood horror flick that I watched, and to my surprise, I liked a lot. The mood is set right, the music is great, the actors/actresses are pretty good and the scenes are really creepy. You'd think you're watching a good Hollywood horror flick. I must add, though, that the film does borrow many elements from its American counterparts like "What lies beneath".

My problem with this film is its ending. Not that it's cheesy or "unscary". No, not at all. It's just that it's telling the Indian wives that no matter what your husband has done (including cheating), your love will bring him back to you and salvage your relationship. Basically, forgive and forget... but in that particular case, I don't believe in forgiving, as in my opinion, "once a cheater, always a cheater".

All in all, a very nice horror film, as long as you're wary of the sexist message given at the end.

Excellent creation by the Bollywood.
lateefwagay-164-54671423 January 2012
Well,i think that this movie is romantic, thriller and full of suspense.Vikram Bhat has executed this movie in good order and the Dialogues in the movie were excellent. The timing of music and the songs all were excellent.

I didn't really know that was this movie a sequel of English movie "What Lies Beneath" but i found that if we compare the plot of both the movies then Secret is well plotted.

All the characters were amazing and i think this movie is Bipasha's turning point in her career.I request you to go to the Theatres and watch this romantic, horror, thriller movie and Analyse how Bollywood is making efforts to improve there art in these kind of the movies.

Entertaining Bollywood-suspense.
Pedro-3724 May 2002
Man, I really love those songs in Bollywood-films. But here, they don't work. "Raaz" is a Mystery-Thriller à la "What Lies Beneath" and I just didn't dig it that they would sing in between. But ... the song sequences take place in Switzerland so at least my local pride got soothed :)

The story delivers the goods. It's suspenseful, well told, even better photographed and OK acted. The two main stars make a splendid couple. Dino Morea has a

physique to die for and Bipasha Basu is beauty impersonated. Very nice to look at indeed. I was more annoyed by the Professor (Ashutosh Rana) however. In the

beginning, there is a scene where he rages against doctors completely unprovoked. His ethno-medeicine talks was not only a bore, it was also wrong in content. And why did he have to scream all the time?

But fortunately, he's not the main focus. One final thing: I'd have loved some juicy sex scenes. Here are two amazingly beautiful actors and they have a lot of love scenes together. But they don't even kiss. They just hold each other ... and talk. Or sing. Booooring. Why not spicing it up with some flesh? I know, I know, it's not some cheap Hollywood skin-pic, but then why tease at all?

Overall, a nice movie with minor flaws. But for the actors and the camera work alone, it's worth a look.

My 7th favourite film of all time.
morrison-dylan-fan7 February 2015
Warning: Spoilers
2005:

Despite having seen bits & pieces on un-subtitled Videos which my dad would tape over,I had never seen a full title from the Bollywood industry.Going round to a friends house,I got offered to watch a Bollywood Horror flick that he had recently picked up.Whilst I found the running time to be a bit on the daunting side, (2 and a half hours!) I felt that it was time that I gave Bollywood a chance.During the titles running time,I found myself completely mesmerised by a movie which was unlike anything that I had seen before, with the title offering spooky chills & catchy songs, which has led to it becoming my 7th favourite film.

The plot:

Ooty-

Playing around with her student pals, Nisha rushes into a woodland area, where she suddenly hears a deafening female scream.Rushing to the hospital, Ashutosh Rana is told that by doctors that Nisha has caught a disease that they have never seen before.Taking a look at Nisha,Rana tells the Drs that it is not an illness, but a ghost which Nisha has unleashed. With Nisha having given the ghost entry, the ghost kills Nisha, and then sets off on a search for its main target.

Mumbai:

Getting into a fight with her husband, Sanjana Dhanraj jumps into her car,and drives off.Shortly after she begins driving,Sanjana hears her name from a mysterious voice, which leads to Sanjana fainting & crashing her car.Waking up in hospital,Sanjana is met by her businessman husband Aditya.Talking to Aditya about the voice,Sanjana is told that it is most likely that her imagination is running wild, due to their relationship having recently been troubled, and Sanjana also having started to use sleeping pills.Keen to give their relationship a second chance,Aditya tells Sanjana that they can spend some quality time together,by going on holiday to anywhere Sanjana wants to go.

This leads to Sanjana deciding that they should go to the place where their relationship began:Ooty.Arriving in Ooty,Sanjana's hopes of finding calm quickly shatter, when she begins to hear constant screeching screams from a ghostly female voice.Initially thinking that she is going insane,Sanjana soon discovers that she must find the secret behind the mysterious cursed voice.

View on the film:

For the first of his ghost/demon quartet, director Vikram Bhatt soaks the film in an atmosphere mist, which along with allowing the screeching scream to cut through the mist like a butchers knife, also allows Bhatt to create a chilling mood,as Bhatt shows the endless trees in the forest to be wrapped in a frosty scream. Complementing the excellent soundtrack,Bhatt & his cinematographer dad Pravin give the title a beautiful, extremely stylised appearance, thanks to the Bhatt's using primary colours such as blue and lemon to represent Sanjana's dread, and by also using fantastic tracking shots, which show the voice/ghost locking itself onto Sanjana, and leaving her completely isolated.

Playing a very lively song over the opening credits, the 6 songs by Raju Rao/Shravan Rathod and Nadeem Saifi never feel disconnected from the rest of the titles, with each of the songs featuring a melancholia beat, which matches the disintegration of Sanjana & Aditya's relationship.Marking Vikram Bhatt's entry to the Horror genre, the screenplay by Girish Dhamija & Mahesh Bhatt takes the bare outline of the Hollywood title What Lies Beneath, and uses it to jump to extraordinary territories, which allow the film to include every spooky things possible, from subtle ghostly frights,to a wonderfully over the top demonic zombie!

Reaching these vast leaps, the writers cleverly make sure that the terror never overwhelms the horrors which are entering Sanjana & Aditya relationship.Putting Sanjana at the centre of the film, the writers make the chills surrounding their female-led Horror title ones that at first look disconnected to the melodrama taking place, but slowly seep into the dramatic elements,to reveal how fractured Sanjana and Aditya's relationship has become.

Getting the opportunity to at last step off the catwalk, the elegant Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea (who were both hired because they were cheap!) each give fantastic performances.Lighting up the film,Basu covers Sanjana's face with scars of anxiety that deepen as Sanjana finds that not only does she have to try and save her marriage, but that she also has a ghost trying to make her insane.Appearing absolutely clean-cut, Morea expertly rips Aditya's perfect image apart,as Aditya's devilish grin begins to quiver, when he begins to fear that he may be connected to his wife's "issues".Joining Basu and Morea, Ashutosh Rana gives a charming,world-weary performance as Professor Agni Swaroop, who Rana shows is grasping to keep a grip on his sanity,as Sanjana uncovers the secret of Raaz.

Excellent Musical Scores
Uriah4324 March 2013
A group of college students are having a good time in the woods playing "Spin the bottle". When the bottle points at a beautiful woman named "Nisha" (Mink Singh) she playfully runs off rather than kiss the young man (Ali Asghar) she is supposed to. While alone and in the dark she is possessed by an evil spirit and then unexpectedly attacks Ali before finally being confined in a mental hospital. She dies not long afterward but the evil spirit isn't quite through. Meanwhile, a young man named "Aditya Dhanraj" (Dino Morea) and his gorgeous wife "Sanjana Dhanraj" (Bipasha Basu) are having marital problems and decide to take a vacation. Unfortunately, their destination is the same place where the evil spirit possessed and killed Nisha. And it is waiting for them. At any rate, rather than giving away any of the mysteries in this film and spoiling it for those who haven't seen it, I will just say that I really enjoyed this movie. It has a good plot and some excellent musical scores. Likewise, Bipasha Basu not only looked nice but she put on a fine performance as well. That said, I highly recommend this film for those who enjoy a decent horror movie or Bollywood films in general.

Average film-making, decent thriller, beautiful Bipasha!
Peter_Young20 July 2009
Raaz is a very average film in terms of film-making. It's a very funny mixture of thriller and romance. While films like Bhoot use music which contributes to the film's genre perfectly, the songs in Raaz are very melodious and romantic, which makes them odd and unsuitable for a thriller like Raaz. Anyway, if the film had been made as a complete thriller, it would probably have not succeeded commercially as expected by the producers. Generally, thrillers and horror films often display magical realism to make it more convincing and scaring (again, Bhoot), and the acting is natural for the same purpose, but this film has far too many unrealistic sequences, over-the-top dialogues and exaggerated acting (except for Bipasha) even in very ordinary and simple scenes which are not part of the suspense. This does not mean though the effect was damaged completely, because you wouldn't really expect to see a realistic film with such a story. Raaz therefore does work as a thriller most of the time.

Dino Morea does not make a great impact. This is not really a performance-driven role, though he is restrained throughout and looks suitable for the role. The film has one main highlight for me, and it's Bipasha Basu who carries the film on her own shoulders. Although these were still the days when she had not yet become a national sex symbol, this girl had extremely expressive eyes and graceful mannerisms. She did not perform brilliantly, nor did she look as stunningly beautiful as she looks today, but she did perform well and looked attractive and beautiful. And the dubbing artist... she did a fabulous job for her. And speaking of dubbing, yes, the film secretly used professional dubbing for several actors, including the main lead, which is good because from what I know the starring actors were yet to work on their voices and diction at that point of time. And though it does make wonders, as the performances seem to be much more convincing, the dubbing at several points faces foul-ups. Several scenes had a noticeable lack of compatibility between the voice over and the facial expressions, which was quite annoying. Anyway, Raaz may not be a great film, but it is a decent entertainer, and as a time-pass flick it does the required. It may have had better results had it been directed by someone like Ram Gopal Varma, but it should be worthy of a one-time watch.

Better then i expected
mucahidb25 May 2005
When I was watching Raaz, I was annoyed how cliché this movie was. There are what, thousand haunting house movies made? Well, with that in my mind, I still wanted to see this movie. Approximately one hour and a half, there are several interesting twist in this movie, and that made this movie very interesting. The movie was not really scary. But I think this movie is still very entertaining to watch. The acting is really good. The setting was very beautiful, the surroundings were very nice shot. The special effects were for a bollywood movie decent. I did not like the songs completely, because the voice of that girl was not nice. Well all in all, definitely worth watching. It deserves a 8/10

What lies beneath?
silvan-desouza21 September 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Horror films were few by 2000, except RGV and few makers hence RAAZ clicked in 2002. The film in true bhatt tradition had hit music, a new couple(real life pair that time) and a horror story. Of course it's a remake of Hollywood What Lies Beneath? After the success of GHULAM, KASOOR Vikram Bhatt gave another hit RAAZ. The film gathered tremendous buzz due to it's hot promos which was rare those days in films. RAAZ starts off straightaway unlike those days films and comes to the point, No dancing around trees. The first half slowly and gradually involves you though you have the typical Bollywood horror like chandeliers dropping blood, windows opening and banging.etc The romance between Dino and Bips is limited to flashbacks and 2 songs in this half and the focus is on scaring the audiences which the film did succeed. The film sort of created a new trend of bringing back horror to Hindi films. The interval point does shock you and the second half besides a few hiccups manages to succeed too. The entire scene where Bips is attacked by the ghost in the forest and also Ashutosh and Shruti getting attacked is superb, Another is the flashback which startles you The climax however disappoints, though well executed and scary but suddenly the ghost turning dormant and falling unconscious looks odd Direction by Vikram Bhatt is superb Music by Nadeem Shravan was a big hit, Jo Bhi Kasmein, Aapke Pyaar mein(sung brilliantly by Alka) Tum Agar and Kitna Pyaara all stand out Yahaan pe sab shanti hai is superb too

Amongst actors Dino Morea after his abmysal debut in Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi(1999) where he was credited as Siddharth,is better here but still needs to work on his expressions and body lang. His voice(as usual) was dubbed by Vikram Bhatt Bipasha Basu after her debut in AJNABEE got her first heroine role and she does wonders though one wishes she toned down in several scenes. her dubbing is horrible by someone else. Bips didn't dub for herself till 2004 Amongst rest Shruti Ulfat is good, Vishwajeet Pradhan is unintentionally hilarious Ashutosh Rana excels in his role, Anang Desai is adequate Ali Asgar and Mink are okay in their cameos. Malini Sharma does a good job surprising she never worked again in films. Pratima Kazmi is okay

Campy fun with a magic lemon
pahki-puuta26 September 2009
This is one of the most unintentionally funny movies I've seen. I don't really care for horror movies so my friend suggested Raaz because it isn't really scary. The Professor (played by Ashutosh Rana) is a pretty funny, I kept wishing they would've made the whole movie about him because he made me laugh every time he appeared on screen! Music videos are pretty lame (almost no dancing) but the over the top acting makes this film entertaining in a demented way. The hilarious horror climax is worth a look. There are a lot of good movies coming from Bollywood but I guess horror or serious drama isn't really popular form of movie making in India, at least judging by this film. ;-)

Romantic Thriller.
Herag21 December 2003
After you have seen endless popsicle movies with one Clown who self proclaims himself as the greatet actor and the imbeciles of the media who praises him to the hilt that is decadance of an Industry and you begin to wonder the state of the Industry, then comes along movies that puts your faith back in the Hindi movies and Raaz is one of them. Consummate actors like Aushotosh Rana,The haunting melody of the music that was the staple of the yester years, the location (Ooty or Ootacamund, a hill station the Indian Switzerland),the Ace direction by one of the top directors, good looking actors, the thrill of watching a movie is back. Raaz is one of the best romantic thriller after "Bees Sal Baad" a classic of the sixties.

Another average thriller flick !
pushkar2016-113 May 2007
Warning: Spoilers
Another of the typical Bhatt flicks ! Actually it all started with this ...

The story revolves around a rich couple Aditya (Dino) and Sanjana (Basu). To save their crumbling marriage and give their love a final shot, the couple end up spending few days at a cottage in Ooty where their romance had begun. But strange events start occurring - presence of supernatural force and its (mis)deeds cause all sorts of problems. With the help of a Professor (Rana), Sanjana tries to get to the bottom of all the trouble. The dark past resurfaces and the secret is finally revealed.

The thrill sequences are brilliantly done and send chills down your spine. The film is let down by acting - no acting or over-acting - this kills the film completely. The songs are a positive aspect of the film.

Overall a one-time watchable flick !

The best thriller of the year!
LadyOfGlencairn19 February 2002
Another thriller by the Bhatt family, and they dont fail to deliver! Although "Kasoor" didnt receive rave reviews, this movie is destined for great things!!! Not at all predictable, this thriller keeps you on the edge of your seat and guessing the entire time.

In a nutshell the movie is about a young couple thats marriage is on the rocks, and after a car accident in which the wife, Sanjana, is involved, her husband, Aditya, convinces her to give their marriage a last chance. They go to a mountain retreat to sort out their lives and suddenly strange things start to happen...But does Sanjana know her husband as well as she thinks she does???

Excellent performances by both the male and female leads(not to mention that the male is quite a looker!) The supporting actors were pretty decent too. This is a movie thats worth spending your money to watch, so hurry and catch it, you wont be disappointed!

Long, Cheesy music video
vmalast21 March 2019
This is definitely NOT A HORROR MOVIE by any stretch of the imagination, as compared to, korean, Thailand, China, Turkey, Philippines, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, France and Japan to name a few other countries that produce awesome horror films. A horror film ,in my opinion, must have at least a few scares no matter how mild. This just has a few "thriller" style moments thrown in between song and dance scenes. If you want musical horror, Little Shop of Horrors, Sweeney Todd, Into the Woods and Rocky Horror Picture Show are some of the better.

Not bad...
Ace_of_Hearts13 November 2003
Warning: Spoilers
All these rave reviews are kind of surprising, because ...surprise... it's not such a good movie. Frankly, if you read between the lines, the only reason this movie is receiving so many rave reviews, is because it is thought to be one (or at least a few) of a kind. Because this 'Raaz' is supposed to be a horror movie. This fact alone is kind of sad, because the corrollary is that if Bollywood came up with a flick that featured full nudity, this would also have to be a hit regardless of the story, just because it was one of a kind.

The story is about a married couple, Sanjana and Aditya, on the brink of divorce. To try to mend their marriage they decide to go to the place they got together. But guess what, the house is haunted. By whom? And why? Those are pretty much the two questions it revolves around.

Having seen quite a few Hollywood horror movies and having seen 'What lies beneath' I knew what the story was about before we even reached intermission. *POSSIBLE SPOILER* The entire movie Sanjana is haunted by a ghost who tries to scare her with wind (yes, you read that right, wind), falling spades, closing doors and windows and ofcourse very fake blood. In one sequence the chandelier in the house starts bleading. Naturally, just having blood trickle down the chandelier would have added to the creep factor, so the director decided on a (very fake) blood shower instead. What Hollywood has done to blowing things up, this movie has done to blood.

What I also found quite annoying was the lack of consistency and logical thinking. *VERY BIG SPOILER* At one point the ghost takes possession of a man's body. A man who is dead. When the man is crushed between a tree and a car, the ghost seems to lose consciousness?! How is this possible? If a ghost can possess a dead body, surely it can possess a crushed dead body. And if the ghost can possess a dead body, why doesn't she just take control of her own body which has just been dug up. Or of the unconscious body of the best friend of the lead. Or even of the lead herself. As with all horrors, this one is also rife with inconsistencies.

This all makes it seem that I hated the movie. Well, I didn't. Bipasha Basu is as always extremely fetching. And Dino also delivers quite a performance. Plus you have to admire Bollywood tackling issues like adultery. *SPOILER* Though, the ending of Sanjana taking Aditya back after not only cheating on her but solely being responsible for a ghost trying to whack her, was very weak. It would have been much better if they would have let her dump his ass.

If you wanna be scared out of your wits watching a horror movie, this ain't it. You'll be better off turning to Hollywood for movies like Child's Play, Resident Evil or even What Lies Beneath. If you just wanna enjoy yourself for 2+ hours, this will definitely do the trick.
