Tom Peterlee is murdered, Reg and Mike face evasion, lies and silence as they struggle to discover who has killed him, even his mother Eva seemingly has little compassion for her son.
It is an interesting mystery, it's clever, and fairly absorbing, it's the brick wall of silence that makes it interesting, why on Earth is everyone involved so unwilling to speak?
There are a few exciting scenes, including the various ram raids, but don't expect any humour of any kind. Mike is beyond here, he is so incredibly pious, old fashioned and grey, even robust Reg is more progressive, Mike should have become a Monk instead of a Policeman.
Elizabeth Spriggs is excellent, 7/10.
