He's great as usual, but it's also too short.

This stand-up routine by Jim Gaffigan can be found on the DVD "The Best of Comedy Central Presents: Uncensored". Oddly, however, despite the title and a warning at the beginning of the disc, the show is pretty much PG--with very little offensive material.

I've recently watched several of Jim Gaffigan's one hour specials--and I showed them to my wife, who also laughed at this strange sense of humor. However, while he is quite good in this stand-up routine, it is too short--at only a half hour (including commercials). Among the topics he covers are bottled water, laziness (a frequent topic), life in Indiana and more. The bottom line is that he's quite funny and only slightly racy. Well worth seeing.

Hilarious

This guy's simply hilarious! You have to check him out. If you like Conan O'Brien and Seinfeld-type humour, you will love Jim Gaffigan.

Here's some quotes from his "The Last Supper" CD to give you an idea:

-I think it's weird we ask the waiter for advice... like "Hey yeah, you don't know me at all, but what do you think I should eat?"

D'you ever have the waiter strongly recommend something? You feel kind of guilty not getting it. "Yeah, I know you really want me to get *that* but... I'm just gonna get what I want. Cuz I'm still paying, right pushy?"

-I do try and heat healthy though, I'm a vegetarian. Not a strict vegetarian though, I eat beef and pork. And chicken... but not fish 'cause that's *disgusting*!! How can you tell when fish goes bad, it smells like fish either way! "Mmmh this smells like a dumpster, let's eat it!"

The great thing about Jim Gaffigan is that both his material and his delivery are top notch, and that's all it takes for a good stand-up comedian. Check him out! :)

Encore! Encore!

Comedy Central Presents: Jim Gaffigan is one of my top ten favorite Comedy Central Presents. He just has the best jokes. The thing is there aren't that many stand-up comedians who grew up in Indiana although hes just your basic comedian. He doesn't have that many bad jokes. My favorite was that bottled water gig with the French guy. Its such an obvious joke and he came up with it. Hes right! How did we get to the point where were paying for water? Its water! I falls from the sky! Get a purifier! Outside of this show I have also seen him live at a club. He did his Hot Pockets gig. Thats a good joke. Next time you want to have yourself a good laugh watch Comedy Central Presents: Jim Gaffigan.

so dull it's funny

I recently watched Jim Gaffigan's character on That 70's show, He was so hilarious i almost wet my pants, especially when he talks about the people telling him to jump on a bridge. Then my friend informed me he had a comedy central special, so i just had to see him.

I watched his whole act and i must say, it was funny. He is almost exactly like he is in that 70's show with more freedom. The funniest things he does is add a twist to little things like bottled water. It's just funny. Although it isn't one to make you laugh your brains out. It sure does give your chuckle muscle a run for its money.

my IMDb rating- 7/10

JIm Gaffigan's Comedy

His act is hysterical. The "hot pockets" routine is one of the best I've ever heard. He wants to know why they don't offer them in restaurants: "I'll have the Caesar salad....and the hot pocket." But his high-pitched version of people in the audience who are offended by his jokes is unique and insanely funny. "Hey, buddy! I like NASCAR!!! You're a jerk!" he practically whispers. He's a comedic genius. And he's fruit cake skit is also a classic: "Fruit - good. Cake - great. Fruit cake - a bunch of nasty crap!". Jim makes fun of himself in various ways, offering that he's had a "stomach implant" as why he appears to be overweight but that it's "big with the ladies." The result is his having to get their attention when they stare at his gut: "Hey! I'm up here!" he says pointing to his eyes.
