Awesome Show

Shock Movie Massacre is a show were Emily Booth meets the world's weirdest filmmakers, and finds out their motive and methods for making the art they do. This show is a lot of fun to watch. Highglighting what's cool about the Cult Movie scene and getting insight into why these supposed loons do what they do. Emily Booth is a pleasure to watch, wether she's doing a tongue in cheek piece to camera, having a not too serious interview with actors, directors etc. or taking part in this madness herself(doing wirework in Hong Kong, Firing off a few blanks or even jumping out of moving vehicles for a stunt, she certainly throws herself into the work)! While the whole atmosphere of the program is a relaxed one where you can tell that the makers enjoyed doing it, it can cover some extreme stuff, so it's not one for those easily offended. If horror, sci fi etc is your thing though, check it out!

A fun whistle stop tour of trash cinema

It doesn't lie. At no point does SMM pretend to be anything other than a beer and popcorn romp through the black sheep of the film making world. It's twisted, it's funny, and it's a crying shame it didn't get more prominence and Bravo appeared to have not even finished broadcasting the first season.

It's to Booth's credit that she doesn't take pervy old men lying down (sic) and is pretty open about her own opinion, rather than giving us the mealy mouthed blandishments you'd get from other presenters. Hers is a very honest, uncompromising, female, style that suffers no fools, takes no prisoners, and won't (didn't) appeal to all. She is central to a boisterous, hilarious energy that conceals the fact that she is getting some remarkable insights from some seminal cult film makers.

Best show of the year

Shock Movie Massacre is a t.v. series devoted to cult movies. Covering everything from Troma to imitation Snuff movies, the show sends the goddess known as Emily Booth on location to meet with directors and stars and recreate sequences from the film. The virtue of this series is that it covers several topics each week so if one genre doesn't interest you there's always something else on the show. Though, Emily has so much fun that it becomes impossible to dislike any of the items she covers. And, if you really aren't a genre movie fan you can always sit back and watch miss Booth in action.

Bit of a flop

Bit dissapointed in this show. The run-up to the show made the show out to be better than it was when I tuned in. Boring coverage of average B movies by a loud presenter. Needed more diverse films and more of a critical approach rather than blatant mockery.
