A good special

Warning: Spoilers
This special was broadcast one year after Roots first came out to tell about the impact that the miniseries called "Haley's comet" had made on the American public. Even President Jimmy Carter got into the act saying he wanted his Presidential campaign to be the best but it wasn't but Haley's book WAS the best. There are interviews with cast members and behind the scenes footage about the making of this television milestone. It not only launched the career of LeVar Burton but Louis Gosset Junior as well. He won a best supporting actor Oscar less then five years later. The special also has a wonderful interview with the then 18 year old LeVar Burton where he talks about what Kunta Kinte meant to him. It amazed me that such a young man could have given such a fine performance and spoken so eloquently.
