This film was released on video in 1987 to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the Eiffel Tower, It was actually produced and made in 1974. This film uses photos drawings and paintings to describe the life of the master builder behind the spectacular Eiffel Tower. The Tower was such a tremendous success in 1887, It made all of its construction money back and more in the first year of operation. The films narration and pace never becomes boring. It is insightful, and can be used in Primary schools and colleges for educational purposes. Maybe this documentary will get the DVD release it deserves. Possible idea for an Anchor bay or Criterion restoration.
