Best Independent Student Film Ever
LBC950311 August 2004
"A Question to Asclepios" is a wonderful student film about drugs that alter one's personality. The main character, "Our Hero", decides to skip a day of his medicine and daydreams horrible things about his classmates. I have seen this film more than 5 times now and it never gets old. In fact, it gets better every time. It is extremely creative, well-made, and has that dark comedy that we all crave. Not only does it make you think, but it makes you laugh. It's also easy to relate with because we all go to/have gone to school with the stereotypes portrayed (bulimic cheerleader, stoner, goth girl, jock, etc). Many people today are also on drugs for ADD and other disorders that change the way they act. I also know how much time and dedication was put into this film by the director, cast and crew and it definitely paid off. It has been shown at The Shaughnessy Theater, 2 student film festivals, and Woods Hole Film Festival. If you ever get a chance to see this short film, I'd highly recommend it.
