In what seems to now be the standard '7th Heaven' form this is an episode of about 10 minutes of good material carrying the other 30+ minutes of rubbish.
It's clear they are running out of ideas. The main plot we've seen elements of before, and how the other characters didn't work out the subtext of what Eric spent a long time saying is beyond me.
What on Earth have they done to the character of Lucy?! She is unbearable in recent episodes, and it's not come at a good time for the show, when it's still reeling from the departure of Jessica Biel.
She's the worst offender, but to be honest too many of the characters feel like they've run their course. Kevin (yes, already), Robbie, Annie even. Right now give me a show that's just Eric, Ruthie and Simon and I'd be happy.
