Warning: Spoilers
Sooo Shawn has a 2 weeks expire date rule, well not surprising coming from him, neither is the reason behind that. I mean it's Shawn so of course he's gonna be afraid of commitment, getting hurt or even hurting someone else, his vulnerability is well known by now. Though, I never thought his fear of being hurt for not be good enough was because of his father and all the womans having left him considering that he's not good enough, that's even tougher and painful. No but what was really catchy was seeing him through the entire episode falling for a girl he happens to get to know through her purse goods. That is brilliant, it really is and really innovative, wouldn't have thought about it myself but it's kinda true that you can discover a person through her goods and in a bag we certainly carried lot of meaningful stuffs because we feel we need to have them and they kinda portrayed our tastes so the show making us believe that you can fall for someone just discovering her purse goods or even her bedroom or whatever way which lead you discovering her personal stuffs it's totally believable and realistic. But that, actually happening to Shawn is even better because he's really reaally falling for her, I never saw him that hooked to somebody and to be honest I like it a lot. Even the dumb dumb obsessive fat burn blond one didn't succeed on making a move. Their date was hilarious and so was his obsession with that purse. I also like the fact all the stuffs own to Angela, I kinda like her. Finally not a giggling nor a bossy snobby boring moralizer one, we didn't see much of her but she's seems the kind of chill and relaxing person. I'm really into that plot so let's hope it's not gonna disappoint me...

Mystery Girl
hellraiser79 September 2021
As an old saying goes, "Sometimes you can tell a lot about a person from the contents of their purse."

This is another favorite episode number five in my book. This is part on of the two parter. It's true that it's obvious who the mystery girl is as the answer is waved right in front of us a few times. But that didn't deter the mystery for me, as it was till suspenseful and intriguing but in a different way where you already know the answer your hoping Shawn will be able to find it.

From, the get go were already intrigued as we see the contents of the mystery girl's purse one of them a ticket stub to a Van Dame film; I'll admit that moment I was already liking this girl as I'm a Van Dame fan too. It's interesting seeing how as Shawn is exploring the contents to know more about the mystery girl's identity, he in turn is starting to learn more about himself as we see him opening to classical music and poetry. I like that and it's a part of growing up and being a person discovering and opening to new things to put more into your identity and life. You can also say that's part of what a good significant other does which is sharing certain things about their lives and figuring out what clicks for them.

There is one moment that's interesting where we see Cory and Topanga hood Shawn up with this random girl who of course is played by a young Maggie Lawson from the TV show "Psych". Shawn and the girl interact but as we see both don't click, the girl as we see is just so dense and well boring. This is an important moment because it just goes to show that Shawn wants and needs more and shows the importance of not settling for less. The end of the scene is funny as we see Shawn carry that purse as he is walking out the door; all I can say to that is, that takes a very secure man to walk out to the public eye carrying a lady's purse.

Near the end as Shawn is closing in on the mystery, he realizes he wants his love life to be more but is scared in taking the chance. Throughout the show Shawn has been with many girls, has been doing the non-committed relationship thing for a long while because it safe, he avoids getting hurt. But the problem with non-committed relationships is that they don't go anywhere and there is no real growth. Yeah, it's true taking a chance at love is scary but having no one in your life to love is even scarier.

Will Shawn find out the identity of the girl of mystery but also the mystery of his own heart, you'll just have to wait and see.

Rating: 4 stars.
