There is something not quite right about this episode. A bit of a misfire although it is directed by the respected Mike Newell. He made Four Weddings and a Funeral as well as one of the Harry Potter movies.

There is just to much comedy although there are references to High Noon with some stylised western shots.

It starts off from an early scene where Budgie smashes the window as he thinks Hazel might top herself. She was just drying her hair near the oven as the hairdryer has packed in.

When Budgie goes to Jumbo Stevens to get the window repaired. Jumbo offers Budgie a chance to be a getaway driver on a robbery at a jewellers shop. However the shop is next to a new sex boutique that Charlie Endell is opening.

Endell tells Budgie to hop it to the police station and inform them. However Budgie gets cold feet when he sees a heavily bandaged man who got beaten up for informing on some crooks.

To save face Budgie tells the policeman that he heroically saved someone in a car accident. Hence why he is bandaged up. The bandages were the result of Jumbo Stevens messing about with some explosives in a safe.

The police keep a suspicious eye on Budgie as they reckon he his up to something. Budgie thinks his fake heroics antic might get his name in the newspapers.

It was just a little too half baked for my liking.
