Bad 'Vibes'

Two cases in this episode, both involving obnoxious people who were killed. One is a DJ or "Turnstylist," as Vanessa explains it to Mac; the other is a high-priced fashion designer. One is found dead in an alleyway as he was being announced as the winner of a DJ spinning contest; the other found lying dead in her swimming pool in her $45 million apartment/condo.

The fashion designer's personal secretary found the latter's body and has nothing but bad words to say about her boss. Wow, this is a bitter, nasty woman. What caused the woman do die, though, is interesting.

A prime suspect in the other case is the loser of the contest, "DJ Francais" a Frenchman and another person with a bad attitude. Did he kill "DJ Banner?" Actually, every suspect in this show is a punk, someone you want to slap!

The main clues to unveiling the killers are a blowfish and a carpenter's tool. I'll leave it at that. Interesting show.

Generally a good show

Unfortunately, the background music is so loud it is almost impossible to make out what the actors are saying in many scenes. This is interesting, because for the first three episodes, noisy background "jazz" was mostly absent, making it it fairly easy to understand dialog. Maybe it was because the premise was some DJ was involved at the beginning? Anyway, regardless of how I set my audio, and I tried several different settings, it was still very difficult to make out the dialog in most scenes.

We started watching CSI:NY late in the game, when it started appearing on CHARGE! TV, so we didn't start at season 1, episode 1, and most of the shows so far were good to listen to. Not sure what happened with this episode, but unless it improves, we just might drop it from our viewing lineup!

I am giving this episode a 4, primarily because of the audio.
