2 Opera Singers Guest Star
Jimmy_the_Gent410 May 2022
Q&A - Carol says Eileen Farrell and Marilyn Horne are the guests. A woman gives her a giant Christmas card. A man asks her about her teeth, she says she brushes them 6 or 7 times a day. A woman asks about some microphones that look like shotguns. Carol tells her it's only mics, and says uncross your legs. She starts laughing not realizing what she said.

The first sketch is a Fireside Chat, a topical sketch about the First Family. The Nixons. Harvey is the president, Carol First Lady. Vicki is the younger daughter who is married. They ask for a man to marry their older daughter. Funniest moment is Isabel Sanford as a maid.

Eileen Farrell sings "Kiss Him Now" from the musical "Dear World'.

A funny sketch with Lyle as a handsome movie star interviewed by Carol. She swoons several times. Lyle goes offstage and says he is taking off his hairpiece, girdle and padding and out comes Bob Hope! Carol plugs his special and he says "uncross your legs" to the audience.

An opera spoof on the The Little Pigs is next. An amusing sketch with Carol, Farrell and Horne as the little pigs. Harvey is the Big Bad Wolf.

Carol, Farrell and Horne do very good version of "Hey Big Spender".

Next the entire cast along with the dancers and many others sing Christmas carols. What Child Is This, Here We Come A Wassailing, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. Farrell and Horne have solos on Angels We Have Heard On High.

Carol talks about Christmas seals and everyone sings We Wish You A Merry Christmas, This one time the show does not end with Carol's theme song.
