After the ratings-blockbuster Season Opener, CBS aired this episode next and unfortunately it isn't one of the better ones of Season 6.
The writers try to continue building Allison's character here as the script references her having the dreaded Obnoxious Personality Disorder. It's not a funny idea, and it's kind of a cop-out on why the character is so abrasive. They should have tried something else to make her quirky but here is where the seeds are sown and poor Julia Duffy was given the unenviable task of trying win over the audience with scripts such as these.
It was nice to see them address Julia's love life in the wake of Reese's death and there are a few amusing gay jokes in the mix but otherwise just an average episode.
