Superb episode

Warning: Spoilers
Blizzard is one of the best episodes in the first season. As the other reviewer points out the sequence with Dr Bob was the highlight of the episode. However the reviewer was wrong in thinking Dr Bob would be featured in coming episodes. This was a mistake by the ER writers since the evolution of Dr Bob would have made a great storyline.

As much as I loved this series ( at least for the first 10 years ) the writers should have developed her character and they never should have killed off the Dr Romano character. I would love to see him doing battle with Archie Morris. It might have salvaged the last few seasons which had turned into a prime time soap opera with all the romantic entanglements among the staff.

The episode centers around the staff of County General Hospital as they struggle to cope with a severe blizzard that has hit Chicago.

One of the main storylines of the episode involves Dr. Greene (played by Anthony Edwards) and his wife Jennifer (played by Christine Harnos), who is in labor with their first child. Dr. Greene must brave the snowstorm to get to the hospital to be with his wife, and once there, he must deal with the stresses of delivering his own child.

Another storyline follows Dr. Ross (played by George Clooney) as he treats a woman who has been severely injured in a car accident. The woman is in critical condition, and Dr. Ross must make a difficult decision about whether to perform a risky surgery that could save her life.

Overall, "Blizzard" is a tense and emotional episode that showcases the talent of the E. R. cast. The scenes of the hospital staff struggling to cope with the blizzard are well done, and the performances of Edwards and Clooney are particularly strong. The episode also does a good job of balancing the medical drama with the personal lives of the characters, making for a well-rounded and engaging episode.

Blizzard (#1.10)

Warning: Spoilers
A great episode in which we see a huge contrast between the time when they have no patients because of the snow and then have to deal with a huge amount of patients after a massive car collision due to the blizzard. At first they are all relaxed and fooling around but then we see all the stress dealing with the injuries even when there are not enough operating rooms available.

And we get a great surprise, looks like Bob was a doctor in her country and is now just waiting for her boarding exam. It was a great scene when she jumps in and saves the man's life. Very intense and surprising, not just for the viewers but for the hospital workers. And she receives all the warm compliments as well as Carter will be helping her with her exam. I am sure soon we will see her more involved in the operation room and it is nice to see Carter helping her out, he is already less of the new guy lost but somebody who can help other doctors.
