Classic episode & "Rent" Reference by Daphne?

Warning: Spoilers
Bulldog won a lifetime supply of muffins for his heroism at Cafe Nervosa. Daphne tries to calculate the total out loud in a speech that made me wonder...is Daphne measuring life in muffins parodying the song, "Seasons of Love," in the 90's musical 'Rent'? 'Rent' was very popular on Broadway & everywhere around this time.
Bulldog also receives the 'Man of The Year' award, presented by MC Frasier at the SeaBees. Frasier goes the great lengths to appeal to Bulldog's conscience, to come clean about his accidental heroism, and hilarity ensues. This episode is full of more fast paced, clever dialogue exactly like you would hope for in a Frasier episode!
