One of the better episodes

EPISODE 7: SISTER'S KEEPER- ****

Writers- Michael De Luca & Jeff Freilich

Director- Ken Wiederhorn

This is the first follow up episode and is a sequel to the pilot episode No More Mr. Nice Guy; this time around Freddy is after Lisa & Merit Blocker (Gry Park & Hili Park) the twin daughters of one of the cops who burned him alive. Freddy is tormenting Merit in her dreams and her sister Lisa doesn't believe her, but soon she learns the frightening truth that Freddy is quite real; Sister's Keeper is in my opinion probably the best episode of the series, while Gry & Hili Park are a little weak with their performances, both girls are likable and sympathetic; this episode is like a lower budget version of the movies only not as good. This episode ends on a downer and pretty much wraps up the story of Merit & Lisa. Personally I would have liked to have seen another follow up as I think Merit was a strong enough character, but I suppose they didn't wanna do too many follow ups and keep it with mostly new stories each week.

Has some issues, but, overall a tolerably enjoyable episode with Freddy.

Episode 7 which is a sequel to the pilot episode, the twin daughters of the cop who killed Freddy are now being haunted by Freddy so the twins plot to find a way to get Krueger out of their dreams for good.

Ken Wiederhorn returns in his second of seven directorial efforts for this show. This one much like his last one "Freddy's Tricks and Treats" returns Freddy as the main plot point of the show. This one has him returning to torment the twin daughters of the cop from the Pilot episode. While this one comes off as a rather enjoyable cheap "Nightmare of Elm Street" movie, I still had my problems with it, the main one being why did Freddy just single out the two twins, the mother character returns along with a cheating love interest and a variety of different characters, most of which don't do anything, and Freddy doesn't try to kill any of them. Instead his sole target is the two girls and I found it just rather nonsensical for who he is. The girls Hili and Gry Park return and while there not the best actresses in the world, they surprisingly carry the complete 45 minute episode pretty well. And I found myself actually feeling for them at some points, especially during the twist were things wrap up in a not so happy twist ending. All in all, this isn't a bad effort for the show, at least somethings happening, but, other then some of Freddy's bizarre motivations its far from one of the shows worst efforts.

Evil Never Sleeps, and Neither Do Twins

"Sister's Keeper" is the seventh episode of Freddy's Nightmares and serves as a sequel to the pilot episode, "No More Mr. Nice Guy." The story focuses on identical twins Lisa and Merit Blocker, the daughters of the cop who killed Freddy Krueger. Merit believes that Freddy is haunting her dreams, while Lisa is initially skeptical. As the story unfolds, the twins must confront Freddy in their dreams and find a way to stop him before he kills them.

Directed by Ken Wiederhorn, this episode attempts to bring Freddy back as a central plot point, much like the pilot episode. The twins are played by Hili Park and Gry Park, and their performances are noted as decent considering their roles. The episode is described as a cheap version of a "Nightmare on Elm Street" movie, capturing the essence of the franchise but without the same level of gore, kills, or imaginative dream sequences.

The episode's plot is criticized for lacking development in its ideas, such as the connection between the twins' dreams and the absence of creative dream sequences. Freddy's presence in this episode is also deemed underwhelming, as he primarily focuses on tormenting the twins without going after other characters.

Despite its shortcomings, "Sister's Keeper" is seen as one of the better episodes in the series, partly due to its attempt to tie into the larger Elm Street mythology and provide a direct sequel. However, the lack of gore, kills, and imaginative dream sequences contribute to its overall blandness. The ending is noted as having a downer tone and effectively wrapping up the story of Merit and Lisa.

Overall, while "Sister's Keeper" may not reach the heights of the Elm Street movies, it still stands as one of the more watchable episodes of Freddy's Nightmares, offering fans a continuation of the franchise's themes and characters, albeit with budgetary limitations.

Didn't like it.

Warning: Spoilers
Freddy's Nightmares: Sister's Keeper starts as identical twins Lisa (Hili Park) & Merit Blocker (Gry Park) are still shook up over the apparent suicide of their father, while Lisa believes her father's death was because he murdered child killer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) her sister Merit believes that Freddy himself killed him & that he is haunting her dreams. Lisa begins to believe Merit after she is injured in her sleep after Freddy attack Merit in hers, together they must face Freddy in their dreams & stop him before he kills them...

Episode seven from season of Freddy's Nightmares this was one of several episodes directed by Ken Wiederhorn & is a direct follow up to the Tobe Hooper directed first Freddy's Nightmare episode No More Mr. Nice Guy & picks up several months after that finishes & focuses on Freddy terrorising the identical twins of the cop who murdered him & pretty much feels like a poor Elm Street film without the gore or the kills or the imaginative dream sequences. Sister's Keeper is really rather bland stuff, the ideas raised here like one twin getting hurt after the other dreams it & the special telekinetic bong between the two so they can dream together are given no sort of screen time to develop & the Freddy is basically wasted. Sister's Keeper to me feels like it wants to be an Elm Street film on a fraction of the budget & in half the time, it fails.

Freddy pops up occasionally, one scene he plays a guitar & in another he has a huge elongated arm dripping slime but he doesn't get to do much & apart from the two twins doesn't go after anyone or kill anyone else. This episode also lacks gore, there's a slash down someones back & a dead body at the end but otherwise Sister's Keeper is pretty dry. Freddy's Nightmare series producer & writer Jeff Freilich has a cameo as a boring teacher while twins Hili & Gry Park reprise their roles from No More Mr. Nice Guy they weren't asked back again for a third time.

Sister's Keeper is a boring episode that feels like the dullest Elm Street film you can imagine, there's no gore, no kills, no imagination, no cool set-pieces & apart from a few random ideas & Freddy himself it has very little going for it.
