Boys and Men

Rebecca is already becoming a big part of the Tanner family. She's in their house fixing supper and setting their table. I love having Becky around! She's one of my favorite characters.

So, her reason for being there is to talk all three of the boys in being a bachelor in her auction. Two of them are sweet-talked into it by her. The auction is really quite humorous - especially when it comes to Jesse's bidding. Besides the Christmas kiss, this is the first sign that she and Jesse have a life together.

And, after D.J. learns a thing or two about men, she and Becky have their first girl talk. I love Becky's advice with D.J. in a lot of the episodes. I loved the "Ugly Duckling" scene, as well as Becky's reaction. This is where it really gets good! That aside, I think Season 3 is my favorite season..

DJ is hitting puberty and is becoming interested in boys. These kinds of transitional episodes (puberty) fall short of their potential. I guess its reasonable with kids not getting too mixed up in an adult world.

The late Johnathan Brandis appears as DJ's cute classmate, Michael. Kimmy hears that he likes DJ and she is thrilled. When he gives her a friendship bracelet and asks to study with her, DJ feels like Michael is her real boyfriend. Turns out he likes DJ only as a friend and wants to romance with Kathy Santoni. DJ is crushed.

Meanwhile, Rebecca joins Danny and the guys in a bachelor auction. Becky has been platonic with Jesse so far in the series, but jealousy during the auction proves otherwise.

Becky and DJ have a heart-to-heart that makes DJ feel much better. This is the strength of the episode. Everything seemed to be set up just for their two minute conversation.

Well whatever. The episode wasn't bad. It had some good moments.
