Fun, Up To a Point.
Movie-ManDan3 March 2016
What really makes Full House so good is its level of comedy and drama. They try to keep the same level in all the episodes, but they never are even. "Daddy's Home" is funny, but the seriousness could have been better written.

This episode follows Joey asking Jesse how to be a courageous ladies' man. Joey gets clad in black leather and takes off on Jesse's motorcycle. Every episode has two parallel stories, (not all of which are similar) and this is an instance where the subplot is the funnier one.

The regular plot has Michelle saying her first word: "Dadda." Only it is Jesse and Joey who she utters the word too. Danny is sad of this and schedules a father-daughter day to keep the bond between them strong. In this, we get another look at just how much of a spoiled brat DJ really is, heavily hinting for her father to take her to the mall as there's a half-price sale. Both her and Danny are sad at the end of the day because of how much fun they had. Danny says "The more fun we had, the more I hated to see it end." Out of their 5-minute pep-talk which is supposed to be very therapeutic, it is only this line that we get to learn anything from and everything else in their talk seems to barely make any sense. At least the rest of the episode was great.

The One Where Danny Misses The Special Moments...

Warning: Spoilers
I really like this episode. It's very good. It's interesting and funny, whilst being touching at the same time.

In this episode, Danny realizes, after missing Stephanie's recital, that he's missing the precious and special moments of his daughters growing up. So he decides to change his ways and he takes the family out for a family fun day. Meanwhile, Jesse's girlfriend is in town, which causes some trouble. Also, Joey wants to be cool like Jesse, so he dresses up in leather jackets and tries to drive a motorcycle.

Fun Fact: DJ reads a magazine which features Kirk Cameron, who is Candace Cameron's real-life brother.

Overall, I give this episode an 8 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Awesome.

Cheesy Episode
mitchrmp5 December 2013
This is a really cheesy episode!

Stephanie has a ballet recital. Everyone is dressed up and ready to go. Jesse's girlfriend shows up. She's skimpy dressed and obviously a lover of his. In the first season, Full House seemed to be a lot more "adult" then later episodes. I don't really care for Jesse's "Playboy" personality.

The focus of this episode is on Danny and his trying to balance his career with his parenting. Danny has to miss Stephanie's recital when he's called in to work, then he gets home, he realizes he missed taking DJ shopping and Michelle is calling Joey and Jesse "Daddy." So Danny decides to give his girls a family fun day. The next day, he calls into work to do a "Family Fun Day" Part 2.

After the excitement is over, DJ has a sad moment because she didn't want the time to end. Danny and DJ have a heart-to-heart. I found this whole scene unrealistic and cheesy. There are some good heart to heart scenes in this show, but this just isn't one of them!
