Even though she's involved in another serious case surrounding organized, Christie is not thrilled that she's been tossed into a publicity stunt focusing on her, "The day in the life of a female cop". But it's obvious that the journalist interviewing her (Jared Martin of "Dallas" fame) is up to something, making a cryptic phone call then holding Christie hostage where he makes a shocking confession.
If not one of the worst, definitely one of the weirdest TV crime show episodes, utilizing an altered theme from both "Imitation of Life" and "One Life to Live" in a major twist of who is denying their race and the reason they're out to destroy an organized crime racket. It's not story that makes this episode bizarre, but effects to make it work that are sadly not well done. In its efforts to be groundbreaking, it turns itself into the unintentional comedy where there aren't any real reasons to laugh.
