A title I still don't understand but a title, nevertheless, I will never forget.

Warning: Spoilers
This, in my opinion, is the climax - the episode that we had been waiting for. Everything leading up to it and everything that followed it all hinges on this episode.

Rory's love life was always up in the air and even now with the "Year in the Life" we still don't know for sure who it is but Lorelai.... We always knew who it was going to be for Lorelai and sure they break up.... Twice.... But Luke and Lorelai were the Target couple in this series.

Although the show centers the events around a mother and daughter there wasn't one person who wasn't waiting for the episode when Luke and Lorelai would give in to relinquishing all the distractions and excuses in their life to culminate in the pursuit of a relationship between one another.

And to embrace true Gilmore Girls fashion it wouldn't be genuine without some wacky events that surround the kiss, including Kirk running down the Inn stairs in mass hysteria without anything but a pillow covering his johnson. Not to mention the taboo affair that Dean and Rory engage in whilst Lindsay sits at home waiting for her husband, Jason showing up out of the blue, and the quarreling interactions between Richard and Emily.... This episode truly had everything and this comes in number one on my list with "Dear Richard and Emily" making a very close second.

The only bad part about this episode is that... well... I feel as though it kind of when down hill from here on. But again, that's just my opinion. Nevertheless it's a 10/10 in my book when comparing it to all the other episodes.

I loved and hated this episode. I just don't think that Rory should have lost her virginity in this episode. I think that she for one should have talked to her mom about it and for two should have given it more thought. I mean Dean is still married to Lindsay in this episode. I don't think that he should have cheated on her. She deserves better than that. I also think that shows poor judgment on Rory's part. If he just cheated on Lindsay with her then what is to stop him from cheating on Rory with somebody else. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED HOW LORELAI AND Luke FINALLY KISSED. That was completely awesome. Both of her dreams came true in one night. One she opened her inn with Sookie and for the second one she got her man. I think this episode is one of my favorites.

Warning: Spoilers
Season 4 has the chance of being good, great even after the « Winter break ». The storylines run smoothly, the heroines flaws are finally acceptable, and the irresistible mix of comedy and drama of early seasons, is back. As well as some characters that disappeared off the map. I hated Richard's mother with a passion, so sorry for not mourning her passing. But her funeral episode was one of the season's, series even, best. I also liked the one where both Rory and Lorelai got overwhelmed over failing, and the spring break special. Then there's Lane finally standing up to her mother, and it was glorious. When this storyline reached its peak during Luke's sister's wedding. Both this and the season finale were the best. First for the humor, when Mrs. Kim rather picture her daughter's male roommates as girls. Then the romance, when Luke and Lorelai dance to that Sam Phillips song I love so much. And the soap, when Rory has to make her final choice between Jess and Dean. Obviously, she picks the latter and offers him her little flower... Raincoats and Recipes has a sense of season 2 finale, only with better plots and dramatization too. Lorelai also has to make a choice between two contenders, and as writers destroyed her relationship with Jason, with the whole debacle with her father. It's easy to root for her picking Luke, who just got divorced from his former wife/fiancé/girlfriend... Nichole? As I was saying in my previous review for the season, Kirk's antics are now annoying me, and he's the only guest at the Dragonfly Inn's inaugural night, that didn't make me laugh. Lorelai's talk to Rory, after her slip up with Dean (because yeah, he's still married...) was a flawlessly written and acted scene. Let's see if I still hate her with Logan now...

Season Four: A Full Review
estathena25 April 2024
This season was all about realizations, that settling-in doesn't always mean settling for, and that even good things come to a sad end so that something else can grow.

There's the continued battle between parent and child - Lorelai verses her parents (her mother mostly) and Rory against her own mother, each one trying to grow against the confines the other placed upon them.

This season is all about growing pains and those "growing up" changes that seem to happen while you weren't paying attention.

Another great season, a real one with all the messy ups and downs that we've come to love, appreciate, and look forward to in the comforting chaos of Stars Hallow.

Warning: Spoilers
Lorelai is a bit awkward around Luke now that they are "courting". She invites everyone to the opening of The Dragonfly Inn. Kirk and Lulu are invited but Kirk is worried about his night terrors so he recruits Luke to help him out. At the Inn, Digger shows up and he tells Luke that he's there for Lorelai. Luke gets upset and confronts Lorelai who sets the record straight that her and Digger are definitely not in a relationship anymore. Luke and Lorelai kiss!! Yippee.

Now on the bad stuff- Rory and Dean can no longer deny their feelings anymore and Dean basically lies to Rory that him and Lindsey are done so they sleep together. The episode ends with Lorelai coming home to find Rory and Dean coming out of her room, messy hair and all.
