We flip a swish

One of the classic Lucy episodes a long log bread coming out of the oven is one you can't forget. Don't think too much of how it fit just laugh at the insanity. More betting between boys and girls can they just admit both sexes deal with life, period? No one really won the bet Ricky tries to help Lucy with Society women club but they insult his profession and Lucy defends him which is nice. The four end up with homemade bread they all win.

The Good Old Days, which are now even older...

This is a hilarious episode that often reminds me of my own critiques of the technological world in which we live. Absolutely hilarious dialogue and physical comedy that keeps the viewer guessing what will happen next. Even despite the ridiculous bread scene that kills the "suspended in disbelief" vibe, it's one of my fav episodes.

Lucy and Ethel are revolting, but no more than usual according to Ricky.

Warning: Spoilers
This isn't your typical bread and butter episode where the Ricardo's in marches make bets that they can go without modern conveniences, with Ethel and Lucy hoping to get electric dishwashers out of it. This is the famous episode where Lucy bits more bread than she'll ever use in a lifetime, and it's very funny watching her kneed the dough with way too much yeast. Of course, Lucy's oven could not really hold the big loaf that comes out of it but it is a classic visual. Florence Bates, the beloved battle-axe character actress, guest stars as the heads of a society matron league, visiting while Lucy and Ethel are dressed up looking like the Dolly Sisters. Of course, the antics are absurd, but it is one of the all time classic episodes.

What year is this again?

Funny episode, but the writers seem to think that everyone in 1900 lived in a log cabin somewhere in the Appalachian backwoods. I'm pretty sure most people back then bought bread and butter from the grocery store just like we do today. (And of course, electricity and hot running water weren't exactly unknown at the time) I personally thought the highpoint was the surprise visit by the reps from the Women's Society League (always a treat to see Florence Bates) I know most people would probably say the bread coming out of the oven scene, but even as a kid I was saying "How did all that bread fit in the oven? Did it bust out the back and through the wall?"
