Rangers of Darkness

Warning: Spoilers
Warning do not read unless seen episode.

Once again the Power Rangers are doing another clone fight story, but personally I think this episode is even better than the last one they did because for one thing we actually can tell who is fighting who.

The only bad things are there is this subplot with Tommy on his forgetfulness which is kinda strange that he would be that forgetful; which really doesn't do much to anything for the episode by it's nature it's really just filler. Though I can emphasize a bit with Tommy's dilemma, I can be a bit forgetful sometimes; when you have so many things going on in your life, so many things to do who wouldn't.

Also there is this thing about the Power Rangers receiving new weapons but we never really see any new features about them, so that scene was just useless.

Other than those things everything is fine, we're all really in it for the battle between the Power Rangers and the Mutant Rangers. I really like that training scene with Goldar and the Puddies, it's funny how he address them by numbers which makes sense since henchmen are nameless characters. And it was really funny when he exercised anger and frustration at no. 6 whom was pretty much the odd man out in the group as he is just fraking up in training; Goldar then says one of my favorite quotes in the episode.

But of course the fight sequences are great, their well choreographed like seeing them all use their weapons against each other. Though I'll admit it was kinda strange they never had anyone fill in as the evil Red Ranger and instead had a giant Crayfish as the leader, but oh well I don't mind that monster was a decent opponent and leader for the group.

The highlight for me is the zord battle which is probably one of the best in my book. It's pretty much a two on four battle which was really cool because both Mega and Dragon Zord are fighting supersized versions of the Mutant Rangers. The mutants even come up which an odd but slightly effective in the fight, where they would get to a formation, elevate they leader which makes him not just hard to hit but also make the mutants come together to increase their offense. Though I'll admit I don't understand why the heck the Zords couldn't of just used their weapons or attack one of the mutants on the side to topple their formation.

The mutants are good but nothing beats the real thing.
