Murphy threatens to close the door on Miles.

Warning: Spoilers
When Murphy is dealt an awful interview with an obnoxious army officer, she walks off the set, and then returns to continue to humiliate him for his pandering nature. Miles is forced to suspend her and even has the blessing of the network owner (Alan Oppenheimer, starting to recur), but as Murphy has done before, she one ups him by getting an interview with the reclusive Marlon Brando. Murphy fights because her job is all she pretty much has and Miles fights because he needs to maintain control and respect, so there is no guilty party here. Both Candice Bergen and Grant Shaud give terrific performances, and it's obvious that as angry as Murphy is with Miles, she respects him for standing up for what he believes is right, even if she's not going to give in. Excellent episode that rings true and yet doesn't diminish the credibility of either character or make them seem petty.
