Fan of Connie Francis I believe this was her first performance of MaMa on live TV. I know based on Her Book She Did not wont to sing that song she wonted to sing GOD Bless America but since Perry Como Closed his Show With that Song he asked her to sing something else. Her father suggested She sing MAMA.Sales were Slow moving coming up on a show at a concert,and after the Performance the concert date the very next day the Show Sold out.The Ovation was so Overwhelming on the TV show That Connie and Perry Como Both were Schocked.The Applause Was so continuous Perry Como had her Take Numerous Bows.I would truly like to see this performance in its entirety
