Homecoming (#6.9)

Warning: Spoilers
Dan's high school football team is having a 25 years reunion and they are watching a homecoming game. Darlene is also home from college and so are Becky and Mark. Becky is not too happy with marriage but when Roseanne tries to see what the problem is turns out that Mark doesn't do anything wrong.

Well once again we get a lot of laughs. Mainly from Dan trying to impress his old school friends. Especially the story with "Roseanne's panties".

And we have a new Becky. It always takes a time to get used to the new one. I don't like it when characters I am used to are replaced. But she did a pretty good job and better have a new Becky I can get used to than no Becky at all. They made a fun joke about it at the end.

Mark receives a major upgrade

Warning: Spoilers
I know in a future episode, in a B&W scene, they sing of "nearly identical Becky's" ... but in reality, they look NOTHING alike.

Yes, they are both blonde and about the same age, but Sarah is significantly thinner, and is much prettier. Other than being blonde, they bear no resemblance.

And so far, the newer Becky seems much nicer than the old Becky.

This episode wasn't one of the funnier ones.

If you have seen Sarah on Scrubs, you know that she is capable of very good comedic acting and timing.

Alicia has done very little since Roseanne (exclusive of The Conners), while Sarah has remained steadily busy.

Lacks old Becky..

I love Roseanne I have been watching it for a long time. I loved the chemistry between the three kids, Becky, Darlene, and DJ. They were a good choice. In this episode the actress who played Becky in the earlier seasons, Lecy Goranson, has left the show for unknown reasons. Here we have a new addition to the cast, Sarah Chalke who has now replaced Becky. I liked everything in this episode, it had the Roseanne smirks and everything else. The one thing I didn't prefer was the "new" Becky. I feel she didn't fit the part/role of Becky. Her attitude and personality was very different. I also didn't enjoy the "new" Becky's acting. Overall I give it 6/10.
