This edition of SNL stands out to me because I first saw and heard Suzanne Vega perform on it. I was living in Los Angeles, California at the time, though I have since moved back to the Midwest, but I recall going right out the next day and checking several music stores before finding her recordings. I then bought all of her albums up to that date (all 2 of them, I believe). I have been a fan of hers ever since, and had the opportunity to see her in person in Red Bank, New Jersey in August of 2003.
And I still enjoy SNL, both for the comedy and the presentation of fine musical guests.
