This episode was when I took the bait!

Dr. Cox is my personal favorite character and in this episode he really shines following the setup episode before this, showing how he really cares about JD.

But this episode really fires away on ALL cylinders and hits its stride with each joke landing and impacting with great care!

Like all really good comedies, Scrubs was ahead of it's time but even still it captured an audience immediately. I didnt find it until 17 years later than the pilot premiered. In ways it's hard for me to process Garden State is older than Scrubs. Zach Braff looks so young and is perfectly casted for this character. Actually, I think Zach Braff deserved his career given what he did for scrubs because I'm not sure any actor could have pulled the description of his character off to a T! Same with Dr. Cox. That's when you just know you're watching a really special show; the cast is incredible. The writing is brilliant. The jokes still land 17 years later because truly masterful things like art, do3snt age! It's why you can watch Sienfeld today or Friends and still laugh. Scrubs belongs to that list of special shows and this episode reminds me of why!
