Kaleena Kiff is credited wrongly as Lex's aide. Erica Cerra plays Lex's aide while Kaleena Kiff is the warehouse worker.

It felt as though this episode was more filler than meaty development of the series' bigger story arc. Even so, the interjection of Peyton List's character as Lucy Lane does add to the development of the Smallville universe. It is a shame though, that her character has of this writing not made a recurring appearance in following episodes. Peter Wingfield known by many from the "Highlander" TV series is great as Marcus Becker, though it seems that his character could have been developed more and his dialog matching his acting capability.

Lois' sister arrives

Lucy Lane, Lois' younger sister, arrives to town with plenty of extra baggage in this episode.

Lucy arrives on the Kent farm from Switzerland boarding school under the guise that she wants to see her sister. However, there is much more to her jump across the pond than that. In Europe, Lucy had loaned nearly $50,000 from a loan shark, and the shark follows her to the town to collect. Desperate for wanting to help her, Clark asks Lex for a rather large financial favor. However, the loan shark captures Lucy and Lois in a diesel and is driving away with the two women when Clark does something rather remarkable to stop him.

It was interesting to see the show's creators take on this DC Comics character, who has indeed been a bit of a pain in the side for Lois there as well. Meanwhile, Clark's save of the Lane girls is a shot and special effects marvel that will be remembered for a long time to come.

Closer Than Blood Brother

Lois Lane's sister Lucy leaves her boarding school in Switzerland and arrives in Smallville with the pretext of missing Lois. She is lodged in Kent Far, and later she discloses to Clark Kent that she owes $50,000 to a loan shark, and Clark asks Lex Luthor to help her. When Lois and Lucy are kidnapped by the criminal, Clark finds the truth of Lucy's visit. Meanwhile, the knowledge stone vanishes from Lana's apartment, and Jason threatens Lionel Luthor, asking for the stone. Lionel claims innocence.

"Lucy" is a good episode of "Samllville", with a new character, the troublemaker Lucy Lane. The story has the usual flaws, with the lack of explanations for most of the situations, but entertains. My favorite character is Lex Luthor, and in this episode he seems to really like Clark. My vote is nine.
