This is the first of a four-part series featuring "The Chairman", played by actor Michael Ironside.
An epic story featuring a criminal mastermind who employs a computer hacker to unveil the identities of numerous Federal agents from the FBI, DEA, and other government police agencies. He sells his "services" to the heads of a number of crime families.
After some 25 Federal agents are exposed and killed, along with several witnesses who can testify against the Mob, a special task force is put into place by a Congressional sub-committee. Since the Feds appear to be totally compromised, the task force will consist of Texas Rangers, with Cordell Walker in charge.
A New York city cop, Rosetti (played by actor Peter Onorati) is also brought on board; he will partner with Trivette, instead of Trivette's usual partner, Walker. We also get a new character, computer hacker "Buzz" (actress Lisa Rotondi), who is released from prison in order to assist the Task Force.
This series is "Walker Texas Ranger" at its best. All of the usual characters are in top form. The action occurs in a number of U. S. cities, to take down the different crime families.
Walker Texas Ranger was winding down after 9 seasons; this is among the best story lines in the entire 9-year run. Lots of action, with great sub-plots.
The Chairman is the ultimate bad guy. His henchman Lazarus (actor Roger Yuan) is superb in his part.
You need to watch all four episodes in sequence to stay on top of the story.
I rate all four episodes 10 stars out of 10!
