this episode gave an idea to james cameron to defeat t-1000.

The mighty orbots carry the bad guy to subzero temperature of saturn & another planet into a valcano where that's how you kill t-1000 in terminator 2 (Luckily james cameron didn't end up using the whole idea of giant mecha movie). Although this series aired in 1984, the animation was unlike transformers, voltron etc where i remember how clean & smooth it was except me still today can't accept a human size robots change into a giant robot. The godzilla like monster was like Netflix's anime godzilla, speaking of ahead of time.

Fun beginning for an underrated 80s series

Warning: Spoilers
The Mighty Orbots has a very special meaning to me, since it was the very first media I remember watching in my entire life.

While my early childhood memories are a bit fuzzy, I do remember being just a baby when I saw the transformation sequence of the titular character.

It has been a long time since I rewatched again, and the show turned out to be pretty much as I was expecting: A bit cheesy, but fun and charming, pretty much like many other saturday morning cartoons from the 80s.

It also had a nice sountrack and an awesome intro song.

This first episode had some really nice animation moments, in sharp contrast with other cartoons from the same era.

Shame it was cancelled too soon, since The Mighty Orbots had all the potential to be another classic from the 80s, such as ThunderCats or The Transformers.
