I have a huge love for this series, even years later. The imagery from this one always stuck with me, the powerful scene where the intertwined lovers fall through the ceiling. I think my memories were perhaps filling in blanks, as I'd class this as a good, rather then a great episode.
It is bound to get attention, because it of course stars Peter Capaldi, undoubtedly a superb actor, but it's the velvet voiced Stanley Townsend that grabbed my attention here, a remarkable, underrated talent, who will play a bigger part. Capaldi did share a superb scene with Sue Johnston.
Great production values, it looks good, and moves very quickly.
Even decent episodes of this terrific series are better then most shows made nowadays. 7/10
