Funny how Moral Orel started as a wacky black comedy parodying Christian kids shows such as Davey and Goliath, before turning into something more darker and complex on its third season.
These episodes were quite fun to watch, and established the typical status quo formula present in many other animated sitcoms before breaking them completely.
The result was much effective in that way, due the familiarity we get from these characters and their interactions during the episodes of the first and the second season.
From the very beginning, the dynamic of the cast and the bizarre wackiness of the setting is firmly established, almost giving some early South Park vibes. In retrospect, it's weird to think how a chapter involving zombies being resurrected via black magic managed to be one of the most light-hearted moments of the overall series.
Basically, a perfect introduction to the world of Moral Orel.
