Not worth 94mins of my life
silly_bunny27 May 2009
I borrowed the DVD and looked at the cover. Hmmm. It looked good. A low angle shot of Igor, the hero. The tag line was what caught me. The "No Budget" bit to be exact. So I sat down and watched the whole 94mins of it with my sibling. I was quite disappointed. The storyline made no sense and there was no character development. I wish I hadn't seen it. Waste of my time.

But don't get me wrong. It's not that it sucked. It was just quite tedious. The stunts were impressive and then got a bit excessive.

I give it 1 out of 10.

But don't let my review put you off. YOU watch it and YOU be the judge.

Indie Film Reviews for GLWT
ijja26 July 2009
Read what some of the Audience, Film Stars and Celebrities, Film Critics and Movie Buffs had to say about GLWT. If you have seen GLWT feel free to leave a comment on your own.

Congratulations on making a movie, that is an achievement in it's own right. The action genre is obviously the genre you like. Good luck, Bryan Brown Hollywood Actor

"A feature film by a young Aussie crew, demonstrating the versatile & extraordinary abilities of the cast, riddled up with breathtaking action stunts, a large portion of ironic & smart humor and worlds sexiest nurse. Breakenback appears to become the new upraising star on the genre horizon. GLWT - a debut, which will doubtless tremble the amateur and professional movie world, ready to keep the audience entertained and surprised throughout, hoping for more to come... Straight 5 of Viktor's movie stars *****!" Viktor Film Critic

I would like to wish you the best of luck with your amazing film, and we look forward to having the opportunity to view your work in the future. Sincerely, Geoffrey Gilmore Director, Sundance Film Festival

"definitely awesome action and laugh out loud humor. I also love the title treatment!" Erika Kao-Haley Movie Distributor MultiVisionnaire

CONGRATULATIONS ON THE COMPLETION OF SUCH A MAMMOTHIAN TASK. KUDOS TO YOU AND YOUR VISION! Victoria Waghorn Film Producer Punk Monk Propaganda

And Igor - you wrote, directed, starred in Good Luck With That- what an amazing effort. Ouch those stunts were full on. I found it to be an interesting mix - the bad guy voicing over at the start came across as one of those caricatured bad guys - how tongue in cheek!-) Lots of swiss ball fun. It is a good romp. You have a great screen presence - you come across as a dramatic actor. What a huge amount of work your movie represents. I wish you all the very best with the project, and may it lead to more movies by Breakenback Films! Janet Watson Kruse Actor, singer, creative entrepreneur

Always amazes me how stunt guys and girls do these falls and fights and make it look like it really hurts. (I bet sometimes it does!) Great stuff Igor. James Caitlin Actor

Dear Igor, Thank you for allowing me to see Good Luck With That.

I'm sure many people will connect with the film.

it's got to be "love it, or leave it" nothing in-between.

I wish you continuing success with your productions.

Looking forward to seeing your next project! John L Simpson TITAN VIEW Movie Producer and Distributor

We really admired what you have achieved on limited resources and think that an energetic, stunt-packed project such as this really stands out in the Australian market. Rachel Okine Film Executive

I'm really impressed with what you guys have achieved - a locally produced film that someone actually may want to go and see! Michael Favelle. Odins Eye Ent.

I watched the film on the weekend and I thought it was super cool! Wish you luck! Wendy Zakaria Promotions Manager THE EDGE 96ONE

I picked up a copy of Good Luck With That at Supanova in Brisbane after watching a Q&A with Igor Brackenback as well as got to see a special screening while there. And to be perfectly honest I was very surprised with how good it was.

Since getting my DVD home I find myself re-watching highlights, especially the fight at the Trilogy Academy! The music and the stunts here are just fantastic and the whole fight is paced very well. But the way you've filmed Kim Kim and Babyface running at Igor through the punching bags really stands out for me, it's a scene that keeps constantly replaying through my mind. Without a doubt the music and great sound effect of their feet running along the mats plays a big part in that.

Good Luck With That is in an inspiration to all the wanna be Australian film makers out there with no money but a lot of enthusiasm (like myself), but besides that it's also an alright movie!

I look forward to future Brackenback productions.

Kind regards, Joe Petrie.
