Jason Schechterle: An Amazing Human Being!
ccthemovieman-111 July 2008
Warning: Spoilers
The most memorable part of this episode is the viewers first look at Phoenix Detective Jason Schechterle. Boy, you have to hand it to this guy for what he has gone through and for just being on camera. It takes guts when you look he does, after going through 47 operations following a horrible car accident four years ago. His face has been rebuilt many times over and is a shock to anyone who sees him. However, he's put his life back together, thanks to the Homicide Department of the PPD, and we get to witness his first case with him as lead detective. We also get a short glance at Schechterle.'s family and an explanation of how his kids reacted to his new looks and how well they have adjusted now. It's a very inspiring story, and I hope we see more of this guy in future episodes. In the end of this show, we see Schechterle. being honored locally.

The crime story involves a 28-year-old Hispanic man named Eduardo Beltran being gunned down in Auto Body Shop parking lot. He had been the victim of a "fender bender" and was meeting the guy who had been involved in the mishap. The latter decides he doesn't want anything to do with the whole thing and brings along a guy who pays to shoot Beltran, which he does. Imagine, shooting someone over something as minor as a "fender bender." Through diligence and lot of phone calls, the murderer and his accomplice and found.

The other case is in Memphis, Tenn., where a man, Homer Palmer, is reported lying shot on a front porch. When police get their, they find a man lying dead and wearing nothing but a pair of socks. The blood trail helps to quickly solve this case. It leads to a house in which two women lived. They don't cooperate at first but eventually - thanks to more witnesses - are done in, as well as the shooter, who was a male.
