Endless suffering !!

Warning: Spoilers
Another god-tier episode from AoT , the reveal was so connected and built up well from the beginning , here are the references and important-to-know stuff:

  • S03Ep11 (Bystander) follows the events after this episode where Grisha running towards the wall.

-S01Ep05 (First Battle: Defense of Trost, Part 1) Has scenes of Grisha comrades that were transformed into titans , Beard Titan that swallowed Eren , Peering Titan that ate the Marley commander after being kicked by Kruger and he is the same titan who was about to eat Sasha.

  • S01Ep01 when Grisha went to finish something inside Sina Wall , which it turns out he's there to take the founding titan which was Eldian Restorationists plan.

  • When Dina Fritz said I'll find you , she was there around Grisha house searching for him and ate Eren's mother.

10/10 episode , Isayama outdone himself again.

OH. MY. GOD.

Warning: Spoilers
How? Just how are these people so consistent in making such mind blowing episodes? And that's exactly what this episode was. Mind blowing. I gotta say, at first I wasn't too thrilled about the fact that humanity lived outside the walls so... modernly. I mean 56 episodes of the world inside the walls and then they just blew it open. But after watching this episode I realised that it makes perfect sense. They just handled it so well. And as always the voice acting, animation and soundtracks... all of it. 10 outta 10.

The Twist

Warning: Spoilers
Does it even need to be said. I think few plot twists have shocked me this much or had as much of an impact on me as this. OST and voice acting on point. And the art and animation was beautifully handled this episode, just stunning all around. Masterpiece.

It's amazing how something so good and looked forward to was above expectation.

Really!! It's amazing how something so good and looked forward to was above expectation. Many of the series make suspense and can not satisfy the curiosity of the viewers, fail frequently but this anime in specific... WOW is not one of them... I can't express what I really fell when I watch Shingeki no Kyojin. So just watch by your self.

A shocking look into a revelation that unveils the true nature of this series.
smdanishbukhari17 June 2019
"That Day" is the 20th episode of the third season of Attack on Titan. Continuing further on Grisha's past from the previous episode, "That Day" uncovers the hidden fragments of Grisha's story that viewers never knew about.

This is the episode that cements Attack on Titan's position as a classic anime. It completely subverts the very genre that the show belongs to and brings a level of intrigue and lore that no one could have anticipated. It is the absolute peak of the show thus far, and will undoubtedly be a lesson for the history books on how to completely change the dynamics of a show and deliver on a long-awaited mystery.

A love-letter to the fans who have been inching every little clue to understand the bigger picture, it is nothing short of perfect.

The Biggest Plot Twist in TV
BadgerStorm434523 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
That Day is an episode that explains the twist from the prior episode by providing us Backstory on Grisha Yeager after the Survey Corps discovers the Basement. The twist that the world we know was a place of punishment for a "Devil Race" that is called the Eldians that can turn into Titan's with spinal fluid is insane. The world becomes so much bigger. There are also 4 other major twists in this episode. The Smiling Titan is Dina Fritz, Grisha's past wife, The Beast Titan is Zeke Yeager, Grisha's first born son, Titan Shifters only live 13 years and a Spy for Eldia undercover in the Marleyan Military is the man who gave Grisha the Attack Titan Power. This episode could have been a lore info dump but is paced beautifully and is shocking the entire time.

Warning: Spoilers
The way Eren Kruger threw the hat and introduce himself that he is the Owl was fantastic,I've waited this moment for long time. The way Eren knew that his stepmother "Dina Fritz" ates his mother and how Isayama linked between the first episode and today's episode In shortcut "Wow". You cannot deny that Isayama is genius, the way he reverse the expectation "Unbelievable". Huge plot twist, exclusive and distinctive episode. 10/10 for sure 👏🏻💯.

Had to watch it two times to digest everything that was in it
Shmaden28 July 2019
There were so many informations and plot twist that I got a feeling of LOST while watching it and of course needed to watch it again.

Ever since LOST came out it has been my favorite show of all time. This show however is starting to dispute that ranking. And if the next and final season of the show will hit the right notes then it could become my favorite show of all time. I mean, how can anyone not like this show. The amount of work put in it is insane, the level of writting is absurd with so many plot twists and revelations that keep the viewer invested and interested in the show and how the story develops. And this episode is the perfect example for it. The amount of details in this episode is insane and so many informations are presented to the viewer that at times was hard to keep up with everything.

This episode solidifies the fact that this season of Attack on Titan is probably one of the best seasons in TV history (for me at least) and just makes me wonder what can they bring next season and how everything will pan out.

Never wanted this episode to end.
Adam-092659 April 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It's no mistake when i say in terms of story this was the best episode in all 3 seasons, 'Hero' had it's moment of strong sacrifice and action packed epicness but there were so much revealed story and it's secrets on the origin of the titans that 20 minutes was no where near long enough for me. I nearly cried, each titan reveal was a straight bounce back to season 1. A handful of them "random" titans in season 1 were part of Grisha's club, just regular people, i actually recognised a few i was like "That guy looks like that titan from the other season", furthermore the reveal of the smiling titan to be Grisha's first wife and the whole connectivity with her wanting to find him again no matter what, is it a coincidence that as soon as the wall was breached in the very first episode the smiling titan ended up at their house. The reveal of Zeke's origins and intentions....the list doesn't end. This episode displayed these final moments like a poem, an emotional rollercoaster of nostalgia.

Story at it's core. 10/10

Best episode in the whole series if you ask me!
arishsankar17 June 2019
AOT did one of the best flashback episodes I've ever seen. It fleshed out the story in a meaningful way that wasn't just filler. I was engaged the whole episode and even sad when it ended. They're really going all out this season.
