Weak episode
Kingslaay20 October 2019
This episode was an example of poor writing and struggling to see where they are taking the show. It saw the gang back in the same town with really nothing different from the first episode. We got to know more of the villains and some old favourites came back from nobody packed a punch. As this is SPN's last season we need the writers to pull out all the stops. This is a show with a 15 year history and the writers need to do it justice. Go bigger than a one dimensional story or bringing back guest characters from only a few seasons ago. Hoping for a better 3rd episode.

This episode was a chore to watch
Adam-0926519 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I felt myself gazing more at the wall than the TV screen, even though i can say the plot escalates forward it invites a lot of unnecessary conducts to it's story.

All Sam and Dean do is shoot more boring, bad-acted ghosts. The demon inside Jack is trying too hard to be humorous at times and it just comes across as cringy. Rowena and Ketch's sudden flirtation was unnecessary, Kevin's return was unnecessary for him to last just for this episode (yes i know he could return again) but his purpose in this episode was a mere "meh" moment and i felt nothing on his departure. I also felt nothing for Ketch when he was put into the ambulance at the end from being shot. The show is returning these background characters with no means for further development or story, they just look like cameos.

Most of the episode was shot in blinding colourful "apple pie" daylight and for a thrilling horror show that just seems wrong, i mean i have no problem with daylight but it felt like i was watching a comedy at times. Ghosts and demons are not scary in bright daylight they look foolish, where's the uncanny ambiguous tone we had from the first few seasons.

Towards the end it came to the point when i also felt nothing for Chuck, him now being prisoned because of the bullet shot by Sam, and having his evil dark sister subliminally laugh in his face leaving him all puppy eyed like some kid in a sand box. It's like i want to care for these characters but i don't, i'm just wanting the episode to finish so i can move on to next weeks.

The sentimental talk between Dean and Castiel was great though i did feel like that emotion was still there it felt like i was connecting with the characters again but it wasn't enough. The episode needed so much more.

The season has yet to thrive.

After a pretty decent outing this episode kinda drops the ball, I'm hoping thati's just a instance of a fill episode and that the entire season doesn't go like this it would suck if a show with such a long run dropped the ball in the senior season

Disappointed

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was dull and slowly paced, but not terrible. The best parts were the inclusion of Rowena and the return of Kevin. I hope next week's episode picks up the pace and we move on with the plot.

Please do not game of thrones this final season. I am a fan for very long time, but if this continue, then just end it already.

Not great but not bad,

Warning: Spoilers
After Episode 1 I had a vibe to where this season was headed. The demon who is possessing Jack's body might turn out to be trustworthy after all, however if he isn't then it will be so boring I cannot tell you. Seeing the Winchester's trusting ANOTHER demon and then getting stabbed in the back will be so cliché at this point. Wasn't a bad Episode don't get me wrong but the whole Ketch and Rowena thing doesn't have me interested whatsoever. I do like how they brought Kevin back for this episode but his lines seemed a little corny in my opinion. Kevin isn't a badass and shouldn't be made out as one. I hope to see some more return characters in future episodes. Overall 7/10

Don't get the hate.

Good episode, with a few clunks but getting to see all past characters was amazing for me. Rowena was her cool ass self and an unexpected visit from Ketch just gave me the feels. Amara was a bit weak for her lines. I loved it.

Six stars for the clown
sloopnp17 June 2020
That's it. The clown was awesome. The rest, blah. This is the final season, I expect better than the same old ghosts (who now gather and plan), vamps and werewolves (zzzzzz).

An expected episode
alexwebb-6038220 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Lots of negativity on this episode but in all honesty it was quite good and enjoyable. After the build up from last season it was nice to see a return of God so quickly in the story, I didn't expect him to make an appearance until may be the mid season finale. Some interesting questions being raised about Belphagor and if he is really all he claims to be or the possible knight of hell I believe him to be. Return of Ketch and Rowena was great to see and as always made for some funny moments. Seeing Kevin again after finding out he had been in Hell all this time and God lied was quite saddening to be honest but it makes you question what else god has potentially lied about. All in all id say it was an episode with a lot of stuff that was interesting and I'm glad they tied up the ghost plot quickly because there's far more important stuff they need to be doing in the season that ghosts!

Things will work out
gokcekaraman18 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This episode is far better than the first one. Unexpected people like Kevin, Ketch and Amara are back. However this is so weird that the gun affected Chuck this bad. Why did God creat a weapon that can hurt him in first place. And how did he stuck on this eart, because of the bullet wound? Oh and also the "relationship" growing between Rowena and Ketch is so pleasant to watch. By the way the new demon Belphegor fits so good on Jack. I feel like things will work out for season 15 and we all are going to be so satisfied at the end.

Warning: Spoilers
I was not incredibly impressed with this episode but it had its moments. I think that the actor Rob Benedict was channeling his inner dork with the quirky looks and being adorable and vulnerable. cas and dean will hopefully come to an understanding about what's going on. I cant wait to see what's in store next week

What is happening to this show...
FilmChamp2022 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Is everyone tired of acting and writing within this show? The acting isn't good and the costumes are no better than going to local haunted house attraction meant for kids. Now all the ghosts are like normal people who gather to discuss things? Total take away from the "creepiness" or "scary" from the show. Ghosts are now smart and have conversations like they are alive. So silly. I felt like I was watching a supernatural spoof. I love this show so much, but the passion is gone or something! Bad writers or directing? I really hope it gets better. I pray for it. I don't know if it's I'm getting older (26 now) and can't take the B movie acting anymore or writers just getting too cringey in the CW network.

Once again, things feel absolutely rushed and forced for the sake to get the season over with.

Warning: Spoilers
Ok this episode wasn't the best but it wasn't as bad as people are saying. We got a great dean and cas moment and I liked what was going on between Rowena and ketch. I feel bad for Kevin but at least he got a solid ending. Also you gotta love demon!jack. Like I understand this episode wasn't as good as the first episode of this season but I enjoyed it.

One of the weakest episodes
maxeeykonrath18 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
First of all, I'd like to mention that I'm a huge fan of this series since a long time and I've really been looking forward to the new season. The series had a few ups and downs but this episode was certainly one of its lowest downs. Why on Earth would the writers let Sam and Dean behave like they don't have 20+ years experience with ghosts? Why are they forcing a relationship between Ketch and Rowena? Why should Kevin suddenly come back? Why should God be responsible for sending Kevin to Heaven? There is waaay too much inconsistencies and fan service in this episode. And not in the good kind of way. More like the GoT Season 8 kind of way. Nothing of this felt planned by the writers in any way. It felt like a last minute decision to include as many characters as they could, even though Rowena was the only one that was useful for the plot in any way. However, I have to pay respects to Emily Swallow's portrayal of The Darkness in this episode. Her and Ruth Connell saved this episode from being completely unwatchable. I hope the writers came up with better ideas for the rest of this season. I would hate having another one of my favorite series ruined because some writers failed coming up with ideas that make sense right before the series ends.

I for one like seeing Kevin back but yeah the ghosts are lame
CubsandCulture11 November 2021
I'm not surprised that this episode has a more mixed reception. The ghosts are lame. They maybe should have used ghosts the Winchesters fought before (like they did with the Woman in White) to help with this. I'm not sure. The whole start of the 15th season is a little clunky.

Anyway, I found bringing Kevin back to show how petulant Chuck can be to be effective. I also like the resolution for the character as he was given a more bittersweet ending than a lot of the characters.

What A Waste Of A Return... (15x02)
Sam_Ash_7619 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I was genuinely really looking forward to this episode, the return of Kevin was something that had me excited. They wasted it. Not only that but this episode was full of awful sexual tension, terrible conversations between God and Amara (I cannot believe that two episodes in, God is already nerfed).

The episode was just awfully written from the beginning to the end, it was boring and served no true purpose other than to tell us that Kevin wasn't actually sent to Heaven... but to Hell. Great. Thanks writers.

The previous episode set up quite a few interesting story threads with the ghosts. This episode destroyed them. Ghosts in daylight aren't scary and they look terrible.

I don't have the energy to say how terrible this one was, it could be broken down and destroyed because of the amount of flaws with it. I gave it a very generous 3 because of the acting from our main characters.

I say this as a massive "Supernatural" fanatic, if this is the type of episodes you're putting into the final season writers, do better. This episode would easily make my bottom 5.

It's Worse Than They Thought
Robinson251119 October 2019
Bringing back a number of fan-favourite faces doesn't stop with ghosts as Kevin, Rowena, Ketch and Amara make a return, sadly to no great effect. Rowena and Ketch continue to be fun, entertaining characters with strong performances by Ruth Connell and David Haydn Jones respectively, and their chemistry makes their scenes together far better than they should be. Kevin's return though feels superfluous and in many ways wrecks the happy ending of his character arc in season 11, and Amara's return is the biggest waste of character potential that Supernatural has ever done. The episode's antagonist is a weak presence with no discernible USP to make him more of a threat than the typical Supernatural ghost, and the limited number of ghosts in the episode reeks of poor production values and gives the story a cheap feel overall. It's also very slow and tedious a lot of the time with no strong writing or direction to elevate its run and a weak ending that's contrived, poorly executed and thinks it's clever and special when it's actually been done hundreds of times before. One of Supernatural's weakest episodes ever.

Turned out to be an amateur
upiekiana20 October 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I was hoping the eps two would be better than the previous one, but nothing. The mess with ghosts was so ridiculous. They were not scary at all, they were not smart, easy too beat, but the worst thing Dean and Sam couldn't even handle them by themselves. They two are an hunter for their whole life, full of experience and never felt hopeless, except when they face Chuck/God. And the iron necklace, dankkk they looked like an plastic! (Are they running out budget???) Castiel thing, once again useless. His fight with Dean was pointless, so good Dean ignore it, coz Cas was being soo stupid and Dean had really enough witht it till he couldn't take it anymore. Eeurrghh. And the came back of some favorite fans, the just doit again like with Missouri and Garth, Bobby. They brought back just to make it cameo then they pushed them out again. When you brought them back, you make them meaningfull for the boys, not just for a cameo. Dammn writers! This final season really really started with weak story. We want that 'Cain' kind if villain, or Lucifer in season 5, or even Death, Metatron, and Dick Roman. We want a truee villain that gave us scare and hate, not a bunch of carnaval costume parade. That looked solike stupid. I just want to jump up on how they face Chuck. Make it long, difficult and complex, so we can feel their despair on fighting Chuck, then we could have blast of glory wether they win or loose. Please bring our old kind Supernatural storyline, we've been there from the beginning.... please makes us proud ...

Just awful
KaitlinMMM18 October 2019
This was a terrible episode. The retconning was out of control. Rowena and Ketch are not a cute couple. Dean is apparently having some sort of existential crisis. And, I just can't with Chuck.
