This is Rick and Morty!!!

Warning: Spoilers
This episode was great, that paid off so many stories. Such as 2x10, 3x1 and 3x09. The action was great, especially the fight between Rick and Phoenix person. We also get some good funny moments with Morty and Summer. I thought the finale was very good, it was crazy but not too crazy. I also love how the writer gave themselves more stories to tell. Like Bird person returning, the two Beth's and the intergalactic federation still being out there. Overall a great episode of Rick and Morty.

This episode was terrible
Near-L1 June 2020
Could watch this episode 100 times and probably will ngl absolute perfection in every sense of the word. The way it felt like they were stalling the advancement of the story with filler episodes was forgotten with a single episode. A lot happened, yet it did not feel rushed at all. You can't even place this episode in a genre because it succeeds in all of them.

This episode was the complete opposite of terrible. (This is the actual title of my review without the invisibility belt.)

A new high for Rick And Morty

Warning: Spoilers
Dan. Justin. Give yourself a pat on the back for making one of the most climatically satisfying episodes since Breaking Bad's "Ozymandias". I mean seriously, I did not expect the amount of twists in this episode. The episode was also hilarious with the running invisible belt gag. Also the first time I teared up during Rick And Morty, so there's that too. The song that plays at the end is also beautifully devastating. Best episode in the series so far, and I hope and pray to god for a season 5.

Rick and Morty's Best Episode Gives the Fans what They want.
cyrus-280961 June 2020
The best Rick and Morty to date, Star Mort: Rickturn of the Jerri is a masterpiece fans have been waiting for, in fact they've been waiting for over two seasons, an eternity for Meeseeks like us.

For a season that seemed destined to leave the fans wanting, this finale delivers on ever level. So many questions are finally answered, so many plot-lines are resolved and the episode is jammed packed with unbelievable amounts of action. All the characters get story arcs, though not all of it takes place on screen. The episode is also not lacking laughs, from Rick's dry wit to Jerry being Jerry. even at his best.

Two thing put this episode from, classic to masterpiece. The first is an incredible action packed battle between Rick and an Old Friend who makes for an incredible villain.. The battle witch takes place tops any which have come before and will leave you on the edge of your seat.

However it's the ending that puts this episode over the top, with a clever twist ending no one will have scene coming. It is an emotional gut punch witch leaves Leaving even Rick shocked and ashamed with himself. For the first time Rick shows remorse.

This episode reminds us what was so good about the original Star Wars, but it's not Star Wars, it's Rick and Morty, showing they can succeed where the Rise of Skywalker failed, delivering Fan service without sacrificing quality storytelling or artistic integrity.

Rick and Morty might have it's ups and down but season 4 proves that the show doesn't need to follow any rules, even their own, and it is this creative freedom makes it clear that Rick and Morty could be around for 100 years even Forever.

Don't listen to the guy above me

I feel sorry that you don't like the show anymore, shows adapt and change over the years....deal with it. The show is at its most surreal, and is a sign of development. It can't be the same stoner show you want it to be. The episodes are still good, and have been good since the beginning. Nobody cares that you don't like it anymore, so stop acting like someone is listening to you.

Amazing
facuse-489301 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This episode has a very good plot. It closes very well the season 4 of this amazing serie. It ends with some theories but also leaves an important question: What will happen to rick? Because now he loses the control of his family. He didn't even know which beth was the original and the clone. This will change EVERYTHING about the relationship between Beth and Rick. Rick not only lost his family, but also he is no longer one of the most wanted by the galactic federation. Tammy died and bird person is in the garage where Rick saw the true about beth. Season 4 was not a very good season but this will make us wait for season 5

Best Episode, and I mean that
knlorenzen1 June 2020
Holy. This episode has everything a R&M fan would want. So much action, great character moments, and some of the funniest jokes. It's structured in a very unique way, but it still feels like a classic Rick and Morty adventure. We're left off on a huge dynamic change, and I think it's gonna be interesting where they take it.

A satisfying finale
jonniedylanoliver1 June 2020
Even though I normally dislike shows that base episodes on popular movies, this episode was adapted just enough to make it enjoyable. There were loads of hilarious scenes, and heartbreaking ones. This episode ties with Wedding Squanchers for the best season finale of Rick and Morty.

It wasn't bad. Like nothing special at all. A few funny moments but the story was once again very simplistic and predictable. I think that sums up season 4 in general. Very underwhelming when you compare it with previous seasons but still not bad on the whole. I think the rating of this episode at 9.5 shows that people are desperately trying to cling onto this show when it is really just past its best

What a letdown
psypod1 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This season has been a major disappointment to me. What started out as a great show full of amazing ideas and great character development has been more and more reduced to gimmicky stuff the writers overly rely on, along with in your face visuals and recycled ideas.

I'm stunned to see how almost no episodes of this season seem to build up the story and the psychology of the main characters, which is the key of any great show in the long run, because that's what makes you care about them and keep you wanting for more. Even the 'Pickle Rick', which was one of the best and most action packed episode did this. Think about it.

In this season, the only episodes which did that just a little bit were 'The Old Man and the Seat' and 'The Vat of Acid Episode'. Of course, this last one a little bit as well, but, frankly, this felt so much like a bunch of fan servicing barely stitching together two ideas that were teased in previous seasons. It also ended in a pretty anti-climatic way, as if not enough interesting things happened in the episode.

You know what would have been real fan service ? Actually doing the Evil Morty episode that everyone was waiting for. You know, the thing that you talked about when we were waiting for Season 4 and even had the guts to tease a fake version in the trailer for the second part of the Season (what a great corporate infused giant middle finger that was, by the way). Obviously, I know this is a hard process. I'm sure you guys tried to write one and that it will happen one day when it is good enough, but it's hard to believe how quick this show went from being one of the greatest animated show of all time to the kind of streamlined 'good enough to pass time' show with writers seemingly thinking that throwing as much sci-fi gadgets as possible with a bunch of fart jocks is what it only takes to make a good Rick n' Morty episode. The depth is gone and I'm sure hoping it will be back, because its creators are amazingly talented.

I'm sorry if that's harsh. I almost never write reviews here and when I saw all these 10/10 (some of them even before the show aired), I felt the need to express what I'm sure many fans feel like.

Hey!!
masoud_ahmadi1 June 2020
Great season finale with a dark end. The storyline was amazing and the jokes were enjoyable.

Personally, at the end of the story, I was expecting some shocking events (something like the return of Evil Morty, president of US or Squanchy, or Rick himself was a clone or something crazy like that), but I think Rick realizing that he is a terrible father (Jerry's point) and a terrible friend, and once again becoming sad and alone was even "darker" than that.

Also, I liked the look of the new intergalactic federation! :) too bad it ended.

Season ends with the episode we all loved
misterpsych1 June 2020
This episode was so much fun! The writing was on point and the jokes were extraordinarily clever. It also had some real classic moments. The best part about this episode is it didnt have one of those subtle philosophical notions. Those episodes are fun too but sometimes people just wanna sit down and relax to forget the chaotic world we already exist in. This is the Rick and Morty we had always loved. One of the best episodes in my opinion.

I am amazed after watching this episode. This is a well constructed episode. It impresses even before the intro. When beth (or clone) is killing all those aliens. This episode was worth waiting and deserved to be a finale. I have never seen Rick so down and beat. I hated it though. But thats the beauty of rick and morty.

Excellent, but...
issh_hrc1 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
It was undeniably an excellent episode. But, realistically, because this fourth sesosn has been mediocre, people are overreacting. Yes, it was interesting, funny and a bit sad at the end; the return of the Galactic Federation was highly expected and I was thrilled to see this part of the story back. I deplore, however, the quick death of Tammy (who seemed rather tough in season 2), Jerry's side story wasn't really funny (compared, for example, to the simulation episode), and there is a massive inconsistency with Beth's reaction to her being a clone (or not). She seemed rather ok with the possibility of being a clone, where in past episodes she absolutely freaked out and almost lost her mind. I think this season was bad, and this final episode saved the facade of it. I'm glad.

To summarize, great episode but nowhere near classics like The Ricklantis Mixup.

Mediocre
mikeyboy2621 October 2020
Compared to some of the exceptional past episodes of Rick and Morty, this was a mediocre.....Especially for a final ep. The story was flat lacked emotion and not really engage me. Lets hope it hasn't jumped the shark....

S4.2: Continues the first half of the season in all aspects
bob the moo16 August 2020
This second half of the fourth season continues the strengths and weaknesses of the first half, which is no great surprise given they were made as one effort. Essentially I could copy/paste my comments from the first half, and probably just typing this I'll end up basically doing that anyway. These handful of episodes are mostly creative, profane, and consistently funny. The nature of the show has a lot of energy and embraces its own absurdity, and this alone makes it worth seeing. However it is without question that some aspects have slid from those of the previous seasons. In particular the development of character, and plots that services that development. The final episode of this set does have a bit of a satb at that, but it feels too little / too late, and the nature of the plot seemed too big for it to have just occurred out of nowhere as it did.

This element gave the show a lot of its teeth, because no matter how absurd or silly it was, it was always recognisable in its characters, and it had that grounding. Without this, it is still funny, but it does lack quite a bit. Related to this the lack of world building matters too - previous seasons seemed to expand upon the bigger world, and draw in more characters, but these episodes mostly standalone as funny and clever adventures - which is fine but again takes away something from the show as a whole (and some characters returning in the final episode didn't compensate at all for this).

Overall it is still a funny and clever show, but this fourth season loses a lot by weaknesses in the writing of characters and "bigger picture" narratives.

Fan feeding
I I couldn't help but feel that this episode was written only to please the fans and it seems like they have run out of ideas so they continued some story lines and used in a cheap boring way.

Rick and Morty at its best
Brycemesser2 June 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Now that we've settled into this season, we're comfortable once again with forgetting that Rick truly isn't the center of the universe. We saw him literally fight a god in the previous episode, so it's easy to be taken away with Rick's God Complex and believe it as much as he does at times. But then we get this glorious, dark, and poignant episode where Rick and his family are all beaten and the only person who can save them is the least intelligent, least memorable person on earth... Jerry Smith. This episode is peppered with everything that's made Rick and Morty so captivating from the very beginning, we get the idiotic nonsense that fans can shout at McDonald's employees that make us laugh, we get a well thought out story that has strings tied in from previous seasons, we get to see the man who defeated a god admit he's a horrible father and see right in front of us our antihero once again fall from Grace. I'd dare step out on a limb and call it modern day Shakespeare and I cannot wait to see what we've got in store when the family returns.
