I was super scared that distand lands wasn't gonna have the same energy, but boy was i wrong! bmo is the same funny and adorable little character i remember, and y-5 was a great addition, fitting well with the rest of the show (kinda reminds me of fiona). super excited to see what comes next because ep. 1 is great so far! (6/29)

A perfect start for this miniseries

This is a really good start to this miniseries. It really did feel awesome to get back into this world. Even if it isnt tecnically oo, it still fells like a great experience. Bmo was really as charming as ever, and s5 really was an awesome side character to have, this first episode sets out a great atmosphere, anxiety, sadness and happines all in one great episode.

A BMO-centric story

This first episode, no, it's rather a featurette of 40-minutes (HBO Max) centers wholly on BMO as he blasts to Mars then onto a different dimension when he picks up the strange droid he calls "Olive". I hope you really like BMO because you won't see your other friends from the land of Ooo, only new ones that BMO encounters. One of the main attractions is really the fantasy animation and just the overall eclectic set of weird characters. I did notice the vibe is more PG than G with more expressions of anger and betrayal. The final scene will make your head spin a bit.
