So Leland isn't in charge.
JasonSterling2917 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I did not see that coming Kristen put Leland or whatever his name is in his place. Leland might act tough but he's really a coward and a satan puppet. The confrontation came as a surprise Leland is really just an act, a broken divorced band playing nerd that has Baphomet as his therapist. Great first season though well done to everyone involved.

I'm surprised.

Warning: Spoilers
Wow, two major reveals? Leland's real name isn't Leland but rather Jake Perry, and he, himself, is just like the incels and others of which HE has influenced, in a particular sense: a puppet. That was a big surprise.

The second major reveal at the end was more of a surprise. Mostly because it raises more questions. What is the plan? Was it real? Or was it an illusion or something? It felt like it could possibly be confirmation that the supernatural is real, but what exactly did it confirm?

And speaking of the ending, according to one of the reviews/comments for this episode on IMDb, that demon is Baphomet or rather, the OP thinks that, and I can see the resemblance.

The actor for George is also listed among the cast, and I know that can easily be incorrect, but what if George is Baphomet but just a lesser, more conventional form of his? Would that be probable?

Last two episodes were weak...

Warning: Spoilers
What's happened to my new favorite show? It seems since the hubby came back, (not that it's his characters fault), the show has struggled to maintain it's initial momentum. The episode before this was just too "Twilight Zone" to me, with too much emphasis put on the David/"Nurse" storyline (that went nowhere). And the tracking to David's assailant and the use of the VR was just out of left field. The whole episode didn't propel the narrative of the series at all. Now, this episode. David is once more at the mercy of a disturbed woman, and the beats are way too similar to the previous episode. The fact that Kristen didn't seem to be familiar with Tibetan chants seemed odd, since I was under the impression that she had been mountain climbing with her hubby in that area. The kids' appropriation of same chant was just cheesy, along with the "miracle" (I was expecting Roma Downey to make a cameo). The beat-down of Leland by Kristen was the high point of the episode...but the last seen was tonally very awkward. It would have worked wonderfully on a Buffy episode, but here it was just...off. I certainly hope this trend doesn't continue and the the season finale will compensate for these misfires.

Not Too Bad

Another offbeat episode for an offbeat show. One would think given his line of work David would be more careful.

Great acting, Lazy writing......

David's story line was horrible. So horrible in fact, that they write an obvious "imaginary" ending to keep the viewers coming back for more. This series has been great thus far, and one of only two "network" shows that I watch. But, one more episode like this and I may have to pull the plug.

The end???
magnum-ajt17 January 2020
What the hell was that? Would I be going too far saying it might've ruined the entire series??

What?!

This show is quite honestly descending into madness, the line between realty and absurdity is blurring with every scene. It's so hard to take seriously.

🤣🤣??

This show is completely descending into madness. It honestly feels like both seasons 1 and 2 of evil are enjoyable for the most part, then go completely off the rails in the last couple episodes. I did like this episode.

What's happened?
perpetual_motion-4609714 February 2021
This show was really good to begin with but episodes 11 and 12 have been a massive disappointment. The episodes have portrayed David Acosta to be pretty useless, so useless that it's not believable for his character on the show. I'm hoping that the last episode goes back to how the show was at the beginning of the season.

Simply trash...no other way to put it. Episode 11 and 12 came up unbelievably short. This show has a lot of potential and now its somewhat confusing on the direction their going. All of you writers need to get better, a 10 year old could've done better.

Writings on the wall ...
skiptotheloo23 January 2020
Seriously! What a horribly written episode by Dewayne Darian Jones. Went back to see who authored it. Credits @16 mins clearly tried to bury the details. Don't the Kings give script approval? Evil used to be riveting. Lately, I'd rather watch lint form. Evidently more exciting. Just hope the last two eps aren't THE LAST two. After this one ... sad to say writings on the wall.

Now Tell Me About Your Dreams.

Warning: Spoilers
We start out here with an aspiring comedian, gets picked up at a bar/ club by a good looking girl in a red dress! Rule #1 Never trust a girl you just met wearing a red dress!!!! And girl clobbers the guy over the head with a bottle. He should have expected it!!

And then, there's a hearing going on for the release of Larue? Awesome, can't wait for that. But Kirsten she's hearing voices in her yard!!! Wait who is that?? That's Andy!!! Chanting some craziness in their yard!!! Buddhist now , Andy???

And David oh my David is at this Sonjas house. Wasn't that the girl in the red dress?? Oh my!!! David finds traces of blood when he's inside Sonja's house!! David gets snoopy and Sonja whacks him out also!!!

+1 Star for Sonja being a hard hitting pipe hitter!!!!

So Sonja is holding David and whoever this guy is, accusing the guy of raping and killing the Tootsi people in Africa. Sonja slices off guy's ear with a machete.

Then back to the Larue hearing.... LOL...when Townsend pursues Kirsten and Kirsten lays the smackdown on him with all this information she knows about him, that was classic!!!

+1 Star for the Kirsten laying the smackdown on Dr. Townsend!!!!

And then Sonja gets the confession from comic dude, gives him absolution, then kills him. David cannot believe what just happened. But Sonja, she calls the police on herself and a med unit for David. She is going to accept justice for herself.

And this judge overturns Larue's convictions, hugs him, and gives him her personal bible. LOL...that was stupid. Stupid Stupid Stupid writing there.

-1 Star for the dumb plot line of Larue being released.

And Then Kirsten and Andy decide that Andy will go to Denver to set up this next Everest trip. Hey that's how he makes his money. Haha Andy tells Kirsten that he made a vow to save his daughter's life he offers his own, to the great Buddha! We'll see how that turns out.

And then at the end...Townsend is confessing how he feels..to.... The Devil? A figure of the Devil himself?? Okay this show, it's getting really really stupid.

-1 Star for Townsend talking to some dude dressed up in a Devil Suit. How Lame.

We end up with a 5/10 here.

Wow!
kuluvas-442657 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
So bad, it's almost like they decided to let someone that doesn't know anything about law write an episode full of garbage and horrible dialogue. The worst part is the absolute disregard of the legal system. The episode where Leland is introduced, the Court scene would have ended everything for him regardless of any supposed hack, that was ok and I was willing to overlook it but this episode was a punch in the face to law enforcement and our justice system. It never would have happened.
