'Warrick' Headed For Trouble
ccthemovieman-124 January 2009
Warning: Spoilers
This episode begins with a wild chase through involving a garbage truck spewing paper all over the place. A dead body flies out of the car when the truck finally crashes. When the driver makes a run for it, someone runs him down. Two dead bodies. What's the deal? Actually, the deal turns out to be about "Warrick" (Gary Dourdan) having problems Rumor has it this is his (Gary Dourdan) last season on CSI. If that's true, this episode - the first of a two-part story - could be the beginning of the end, or the end, of this longtime CSI guy. Gee, I hope the program doesn't lose two regulars in one season! "Sara Sidle" (Jorja Fox) left several weeks ago.

Now, Warrick is headed for problems. For those of us who have watched all the episodes (up to this one), seeing Dourdan's character get in trouble reminds me of the first few episodes on this show - literally, the first few, in which Brown had a bad past and "Lt. Brass" (Paul Guilfoyle) did not like him. "Brass" gave him a lot of problems but the two worked it out and have been on the same page all these years since that rocky start.

Warrick is bummed out from his divorce, taking both sleeping pills and now uppers. His buddy, "Nick Stokes" discovers the latest pills and throws them out.

Brown's investigation into the current case, meanwhile, leads him to a stripper named "Candy" (Rebecca Budig) and the old-time Las Vegas boss "Lou Gedda" (John Capodice ). The more Warrick investigates, and takes liberties with Candy trying not only to get answers but to have some extra-curricular fun with her, the more he's getting into trouble. We'll find out exactly how much, I assume,. next week.

What Now Warrick?
Hitchcoc20 February 2021
There is an incredible harshness in this episode. First of all it focuses on a pair of deaths that can be traced to a bar owner who goes back to the very beginnings of the Vegas we know now. He uses his money and power in a disgusting way that turns Warrick Brown's stomach. He is having trouble with life in general, dealing with an ugly divorce (Why did he ever get married?). He is reckless and gets in way over his head and begins to disrespect his position. We just lost Sara and Warrick is self destructing.

Mafia's Old School

Warning: Spoilers
When a garbage truck spills out garbage on the road, two police officers riding motorcycles chase him. The driver throws away a gun out of the window, crashes the truck in an alley and tries to escape from the police, but dies hit by an automobile. Catherine, Greg and Grissom process the scene when Brass shows another body that was in the truck. Warrick arrives late, since is resolving divorce problems with Tina, and Grissom gets told him off. Only after the autopsy the investigators find the identity of the driver, Brody Biggs, who was a police officer and later a mechanic, and the other victim, Jason Crewes, who worked in several casinos, then as limousine driver and lately owned a club. When the investigators learn the connection of Jason and his mother, Belinda, with the mobster Pezullo name, they follow another line of investigation.

"Cockroaches" is an interesting episode of "CSI", with many twists and a he cliffhanger to be continued. The episode is centered in Warrick Brown that involves too much with the case and ends in trouble. My vote is seven.

Academy award winning director William Friedkin takes CSI to the dark side
stevenfreekin4 March 2014
This episode opens in classic Friedkin fashion with a spectacular car chase. Although CSI has been on the air for 8 years with an established style, this one is specifically molded into a Friedkin little film. All of his signatures as a director stands out with the chase, induced documentary style, dark character themes, and subliminal cuts. Much of the episode is a character study into Warrick Browns psyche and how he's living on the edge along with the future consequences of his actions.

The episode is dark, intense, thrilling, and more feature like than all of the other episodes. As a regular viewer of the show, it was easy to notice that this episode in particular was directed by a master director than a regular TV director. The difference here is the acting is more believable, the pacing is slower, every shot was not all filmed in close-ups, and every shot told the story visually. This episode is best one of the whole series along with Grave Danger, directed by Quentin Tarantino.

Worst episode ever!!!
ingistefans11 December 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This episode has everything it shouldn't have, and lacks everything it should. A depressing side-stepping story with waaay to many lengthy pointless shots and boring dialog's is the LAST thing they need to be doing right now, Especially with Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) gone for good (if you didn't know this you must have been living in a box). They should be using their already stretched thin charm of the other characters, make some new interesting cases and introduce a replacement for Sara Sidle. I just HOPE this boring, pointless and stupid side story with Warrick doesn't tie up the rest of the freaking series! WORST episode of the entire run!!!
