Outside of the awkwardness of Pope there was almost nothing that stood out. The flashbacks scenes with Smurf accomplished nothing either.

Warning: Spoilers
...are flashbacks of Smurf and the children in the '80s. All of this flashback stuff should have been in one episode so that the way things proceeded would have helped set up the story of the way things are in the current time.
The brothers and J seem to be lost without Smurf. They pull jobs on the spur of the moment, which is a good way to get caught or killed. J thinks that Pete can be trusted...big mistake. Pete respected Smurf and sees the boys as victims.
I don't see anything turning out their way. Now, Adrian's old handler is interested in them. This second episode is setting up some tension and some worry about what the Codys can do to get themselves set up without Smurf.
