Jow Zhi Wei's debut feature Tomorrow is a Long Time is worth watching for one reason, and that's the debut performance by first-time actor Edward Tan who plays Meng, the protagonist. Tan is flawless in a difficult role that calls for him to display a whole range of emotions over the course of the movie.
The film is photographed well, but I have issues with the script. Although based on the director's personal experience which lends the storytelling a touch of authenticity, there are just too many parts that make no sense. I would go into these here but then they would be spoilers for those who have yet to watch.
A good effort let down by a disjointed script.
