The film itself, '305,' is not a bad concept. It might've even gotten a bit more of budget had the other '300' spoof 'Meet the Spartans' not been released months prior.
It's done as a mockumentary-style film, like 'The Office' (complete with Michael, Dwight, and Jim knockoffs), of the five misfit guards of the 300 Spartan army that fought the Persians (as we saw '300' and other films). These five (hence the '305') didn't make the cut for the first 300, as they're either overweight, or blind, or scrawny; so, they're sent off ('five miles in the opposite direction,' as one of the five says) on simple & stupid errands and duties, like protecting some goats.
Sounds like it could be really funny, right? Well, it wasn't. Yeah, at first, there were some laughs from the sheer ridiculousness of the idea. . . but, it didn't amount to much more than a few chuckles throughout.
As a play, it might've worked well. As a film. . . it simply was not worth it.
Final Verdict: 4/10
